Thank you to everyone for making Barstow on Baltimore, our 2019 auction, an evening filled with friends, fun and fundraising! The Mad Men-themed party on Saturday, Feb. 23, at The Brass on Baltimore featured a Fund-A-Need for campus improvements, food, drink and dancing to the music of Lost Wax KC. (Photo by Todd Race)
Lots of sunshine on April 1st, Spring is here and time for short sleeves and fun in the park! (until the rain returns).
Taken for Our Daily Challenge topic of FUN.
Hudson is always such fun---we were playing "Big Bad Wolf" on the top two faces, then Snickers had to yawn and finally boredom!! (I have lots of shots like these!!) And, never say "SMILE" because you get those fake "cheese" smiles!! (Sort of like the previous post---that's a cheese smile!!)

Most of my photography is fairly boring, planned and predictable. Find a pretty place, wait for interesting light, shoot, fail, come back and try again, and again....you get the idea. My favorite NON planned photography in 2009 involved prowling around Lime, Oregon's ruins with a pinhole. Just plain fun!
Loved this hole in the brick wall and the old light fixture still in place.

I had taken a shot of this man across the street doing what I was doing, street shots. He crossed the street and struck this pose for me and was on his way. Had to get this real quick because he never stopped walking. I was focused on the older couple when he came into view.
To me, this is part of the fun of doing street photography. The fun and interesting people you meet.
Off to Greenville for more shots and people like this.
Have a safe and fun weekend everyone.
Used a incense stick as my source of smoke, the microwave door as the dark background. forced flash as I do not have an external flash of any kind.

I decided to deconstruct some of my Hello Yarn Loch fiber (Jan 2010 club) to make a gradient yarn. So I took it apart and handcarded it into rolags. Now I'm going to pull them into little roving nests and spin them as a fine singles.
One of the things one of my instructors told us about color blending was to stand up high and look down at the gradient, to see if anything looked amiss. And/or taking a photo. Now that I do, I see one spot that definitely needs to be rearranged. They are in the correct order of carding though. Neat.

Kathy and I celebrated our 33rd wedding anniversary at a beautiful Bed and Breakfast called Querencia, near the town of Murphys, California.

A new show on KTN. "We are having fun, and we also want you to win a fortune...". The most boring show around at the moment, but for a night or two I found it irresistible for a while, as I enjoyed the puzzles. Then, it took so long for them to be solved, and so many clues were given away, that any fun evaporated fast. In this screen, the solution of the word puzzle is "CHAPATI". The first (C) and last (I) letters have already been revealed.
I am fairly convinced that all the prizes to be won in this show are funded by the desperate callers who know well what the solution is, ringing in or sending SMSs to the show at extraordinary rates...
