More fun with the LX3 backstage of fashion week

This is why I bought an LX3. I had all my Canon camera gear packed up in my pelican case and I was leaving through backstage. I see this 3 models and we start have a chat.

I feel like taking a quick picture before leaving ... do I make them wait whilst I unpack all my gear again for a quick snapshot ?

No, I have the LX3 hanging around the neck and here we go for a simple picture. Nothing fancy, but without my small camera I would have had NOTHING at all.

Excellent at posing, this is one of many shots.

"Havin' Fun" just having fun

Day three hundred forty-two/365. My training and experience tell me that this familiar depiction of a reclining woman is sexist and objectifying.

I also know, that in my profession, I tend to take some things too seriously. Perhaps this is simply an expression of fun and an acknowledgment of one's sexuality. There is no need to make the world void of such feelings.

So, which is it? Is a symbol such as this degrading to women? Is it a signal that the owner thinks of some human beings as objects? Or, is it just fun? Perhaps there's a line that this doesn't cross . . .

Oscar the Tegu shares the dogs water with him. He allows the dog to drink from his dish when he wants in return. Just another side to this magnificent animal that amazes me! Not the most high qualith image, but this was a one chance capture!

Bristol Balloon Fiesta 2014

I was bored today and decided to have some fun with the scanner. There was no paint used in the creation of this picture. The paint is a time stretched image of the paintbrush head. Here's the formula.

1) hold a paintbrush to the glass of a scanner

2) start the scanner and let it roll over your hand.

3) When it gets to the tip of the brush, follow the scanning imager keeping the brush over the light.

4) move the brush from side to side a couple of times to make it look more painterly.

Remember that the image is scanned in reverse of what you'd expect a brush to do.

That's it.

There's a fun fair in Rhyl that's at least a few decades old. Tomorrow it's closing down to be demolished and turned into an Asda.

Not too sure about this pic...too much white, but she wanted one to show off her EXPENSIVE shoes x

I bought myself a slinky today just for the heck of it. When I got home and started passing it from hand and hand it dawned on me..... it has a wonderful soft zinging noise. I knew I loved this toy for a reason.

I made a couple attempts at getting pictures of this going down the stairs but I couldn't quite get what I wanted so I opted for the still life instead.
