Christmas Day is one of a child's favorite days of the year. Here is a boy who was obviously delighting in learning ice skating with his mom on Christmas morning at an outdoor skating rink. His laughter and smile tells the story of joy and love, two ingredients of the holiday spirit.

...he/she actually gets excited about finding you something that might be fun to photograph. My hubby was eating these blackberries, then suddenly he got excited: "Hey honey! Photograph these!" So, here they are!
I was in need of some fun today: A phone picture from last summer when my friend made me visit a pottery market (haha, I quite liked it once I was there). Lots of expensive pieces, they cost way more than I could afford. This one too. Some kind of big green jar with a yellow handle/knob. I touched the colours up a bit and put a texture on it.

A pair of former Pennsylvania Railroad E8s roll a Blue Mountain and Reading passenger train into South Hamburg on former PRR rails. It was fun while it lasted; the E8s are gone, excursions are no more, and this trackage is used for storage.
Check out that Hancock Air whistle on that RDC. I wonder what ever happened to that thing?

Feathers insulate birds from water and cold temperatures.
They may also be plucked to line the nest and provide insulation to the eggs and young.
The individual feathers in the wings and tail play important roles in controlling flight.
Some species have a crest of feathers on their heads. Although feathers are light, a bird's plumage weighs two or three times more than its skeleton, since many bones are hollow and contain air sacs.
Colour patterns serve as camouflage against predators for birds in their habitats.
Striking differences in feather patterns and colours are part of the sexual dimorphism of many bird species and are particularly important in selection of mating pairs.
A good alternative for flowers, if you want colour, shapes and textures, is feathers.
I had a lot of fun with these, always trying to ‘perfection’ and bring the best.

Nothing says fun like an old, worn out sign, kind of dirty, on a closed, run down building. Shot this past weekend in Ocean City, Maryland with my Fujifilm GFX-100s.
We definitely want to visit Lisboa again, what a nice and beautiful city!
Fun fact: the Portugese train system is based on the British one, which is different from the other EU countries
