Taken for 117 pictures in 2017, #92, "Full of Beans". Although this has a colloquial meanings, I chose to take this topic literally, and captured a coffee cup full of Anasazi Beans. These are heirloom beans, the ancestor to pinto beans, but have a much better flavor.They have been cultivated in the U.S. southwest for probably thousands of years, and have recently become more widely available. Very healthy, they cook much quicker than pinto beans, and can be used anywhere pintos would be. My favorite use is in charro beans.
We were parked on Waterford quays waiting for our daughter's bus to arrive when I noticed this vehicle next to us. I jumped out to take a quick iPhone shot much to Martin's bemusement. I had to explain this was for one of the topics in 117 pictures in 2017 group #92 Full of Beans.

Memories of last-year's Dundas West Fest street festival. This year's was cancelled by the pandemic.
It fell to me to cook supper for this evening so I indulged myself & made up a large pan of Chorizo & Bean stew. Ideal for a quick half hour prep followed by several hours quietly cooking through on the range. Something that will 'stick to your ribs' on a cold & gloomy evening.

As you've heard me say before...I found my safari in Kenya to be a very stirring and moving experience; my encounter with this loving family of elephants was no exception!
I laughed and cried as I watched ring-side the antics of a 3 month old...and witnessed the playful, gentle and sensitive nature of these magnificent animals~

I know. I know. I took a very literal interpretation of the prompt, but the recipe looked soooooo good... And with two kinds of beans (Great Northern Beans and Black Beans) it really does fit the bill.
My Lovely daughter and her dog, Sid who is a big softie, I've just come back from spending 5 days with them in London, and they dragged me on very long walk, they are both full of beans....

These bins at a local candy store will full of jelly beans and tempting the young, and young of heart, with their sugary goodness.
Prepared in the great outdoors, due to the the levels of 'heat in the kitchen' that I prefer, which has the upshot of begetting too much smoke for my comfort or former lack of working exhaust fan (now thankfully fixed, such that indoor cooking is at last possible c/o high intensity cook top venting, in my smallish home): E.g. --> well.blogs.nytimes.com/2013/07/22/the-kitchen-as-a-pollut... .
