We had sunshine today which means we usually get an awesome sunet. I was amazed at the zooming effects.
Been too busy to be around, but I'll try to post from time to time.
The Full Moon rising over what i think was the old Liverpool Airport in Speke. Taken from Eastham Ferry on a misty night, it was a nightmare trying to get the focus correct(and even now i think it may be slightly out :/ )
Taken for 117 pictures in 2017, #92, "Full of Beans". Although this has a colloquial meanings, I chose to take this topic literally, and captured a coffee cup full of Anasazi Beans. These are heirloom beans, the ancestor to pinto beans, but have a much better flavor. They have been cultivated in the U.S. southwest for probably thousands of years, and have recently become more widely available. Very healthy, they cook much quicker than pinto beans, and can be used anywhere pintos would be. My favorite use is in charro beans.

With Star-D 2X extender ($5 antique store find). Can't tell if it's the extender or if it is the high-cirrus clouds I was shooting through. Not as sharp as I'd like but not bad...

Bei sternklaren Nächten könnte ich Stunden lang einfach in der Wiese liegen und mir Gedanken darüber machen, wie klein wir selbst und unsere eigen gemachten Probleme doch eigentlich sind.
Prior to reaching Bryce Canyon, I passed through the Dixie National Forest, and turned right on hwy 63, where I saw this white horse reflecting the warm colors of the morning sunrise under the full moon.

These 2 tickets are from the Mumbles Railway.
It was the first passenger railway in the world and was closed in 1960.
A ride on the train from Swansea to Mumbles was the highlight of early holidays in Wales. The train was also the regular mode of transport for my grandfather from his home in Mumbles to work in Swansea.
These tickets are a Souvenir from the last week of operation and my granddad's last weekly season ticket.
Both hold great memories of a distant time.
