I guess the line at the gas station is long enough so that drivers, to save fuel, turn the vehicles off and push them when the line moves forward. Geotag is very, very approximate. It was the end of a long day, almost a decade ago.

Photojournalism remains one of my photographic weaknesses, but I keep trying.

I'm thinking, it goes here.

Found in an abandoned paper factory in Germany.

Farm Fuel old gas pump on this farm, easier to have a source of fuel than drive the tractor to the station, found in North Carolina.

My hummingbirds are fueling up for their long journey south.

An early morning capture of the old Birchfield Garage/filling station in Much Wenlock, Shropshire, taken during a recent visit to the area.

The history of this site appears a bit sketchy; the middle pump has prices in Pence, which dates it post decimalisation of 1971. I’ve not found any reference as to when this forecourt ceased dispensing fuel and was left to the elements, perhaps it may have fallen into disuse once the requirement to dispense fuel in Litres was mandated in 1995; the pumps are all in imperial gallons.

I saw a post recently somewhere from someone purporting to be the owner, who stated that the garage to the side of the pumps is still in use and therefore asks that posts relating to the site not be tagged as abandoned.

Thank you for visiting!

Always makes me think of that Everly Brothers song "The Price of Love" also covered by Bryan Ferry. I was out practicing my handheld nighttime photography & was really pleased at the result. Probably not the greatest photo but I see some improvement on what I've been doing.

A photo of an old Mobile gas station at 831 West Street in Grinnell, Iowa that has now been re-purposed into a Mexican restaurant. You can't fill-up your car here, but you can get a side of beans that will cost you less than a gallon of gas.

It's Thursday, so it is time for a truck. This one is a fuel truck abandoned high on a ridge. It is a leftover from the days when the area was logged years ago.

We have developed a tradition of hiking up to visit this truck after Thanksgiving. It is usually a somewhat miserable trip as a result of rain or snow. The weather fulfilled our expectations as it was cold, wet and windy.

Happy Truck Thursday!

before landing to fuel up again, LOL

In the summer of 2003, Crawford Hill on BNSF’s Butte Subdivision out of Alliance, Nebraska, featured at least three sets of Cascade green three-window EMD SD60M helper sets, mostly equipped with a fuel tender. On July 22, 2003, a trio of these former BN EMDs rolls downgrade at Breezy Point just west of Belmont, heading back to Crawford after pushing a BNSF coal train over the grade.

On my way to work I spotted this view. I didn't buy any fuel, but I did get some nuts at the convenience store (not shown) behind me.
