The Fruit Loop Necklace
I was forced to eat three stale, touched-by-way-too-many-kindergarteners, Fruit Loops today because my kid, having Celiac Disease, needed to know --in great detail-- what they tasted like.
"Everyone else in my class loves them and I know they will make me puke but I REALLY want to know what they taste like. Please..."
"Does it mean that much to you?"
"It really, really does."
"Okay, then..."
"They taste amazing don't they."
"Honey, they taste like sick. Like dried cardboard fruit that's been farted on."
"Oh mommy... I love you. Thank you for telling me that. Because that sounds really bad. Gross. Why did you eat them!?"
Just a little prior to Easter... I started dreaming dolls up... anxious to bring my food face photos to life in doll form. My brain & my heart were swollen with ideas about what they would look like & who they might be. I looked to dolls from the past for inspiration, pose dolls & dream dolls and the cute kitschy faces of 40's/50's toys. No two dollies are the same & they each have crazy names. It's been such a fun venture bringing them about from scratch. My list of ideas for color schemes & characteristics is endless! I can't even describe the satisfaction & squeals it has brought me to be able to roll my love for dolls, food, hearts, candy and color into one thing!

The Pacific Northwest is so beautiful no matter what season. I know I missed the blossoms but I lucked out with the clouds.
Yesterday was my daughter's pet rats' birthday. They turned two!!! Here Ivy, still a little wet after a bath, eats a fruit loop in celebration (I'm pretty sure it was Nicole White who mentioned fruit loops as a treat for rats?)!!! And Hazel, Ivy's sister, has continued to stay with us, although she is a bit of an invalid and we value every day she is with us.

Lufthansa & apples havent been the sweetest of things lately.
Neither the one you can eat, nor the one you tag on your baggage have received good press on social media.
The real one, as part of the "tasting heimat " revamp has been much derided by frequent flies who have described the handing out of these apples after the main meal as a hygene issue. Then there's the Apple airtags, booming in sales recently with all the lost & delayed hold baggage, Lufthansa banning them from their flights because of bluetooth signals affecting aircraft communications.
Nevertheless, this one is....ready to eat.

Jo is my lovely, part-rubber friend. When I saw her doing this stretch once at gym I knew that it would end in a photo, and here's one of a few done this arvo. It was a horrible, cold, windy afternoon and Jo was still willing to dress "like a fruit loop" for me. This creepy stairwell made the perfect contrast to her bright colours. Bonus points (freaking huge ones at that) to any Canberrans who can identify the location.
Strobist: Due to the limited spce in the stairwell I had to improvise.I ended up putting the 430EX @ 1/2 on a ledge and pointing it in the best direction I could, although I would like to have aimed it up more to catch her foot. Rimlight was from the 285HV behind her sitting on a stair at full power (I think).

That Dark Matter is the Nuclear Energy of the nucleus of bacterial life in the form of the 'three families' running of single celled life (and four types of quarks that in) producing the N20 gasses that enable all combustion in the process of making and breaking of the hydrogen and nitrogen bonds in a fractal math that both feeds back the energy in action reaction but goes forward in the process of growth, because there is no such thing as a vacuum. All space is busy doing the 'work' of going forward (expanding by means the biological 'economic activity' of the present), and (backward [against, and by means of the foam of space - in a quantum tunnel] to repair/restore (once paired) quarks, and re-power the sun by means of fresh helium and hydrogen bonds made new care of the Dark Energy of Bacteria and Life as we know it though the power of the food chain running against Black Hole technology in repair of quarks as seen above. The same re-paired quark power that 'run' the salmon's clockwork migration, back to a home stream from the ocean -- thus fueling the forests of the both the Atlantic and Pacific by means of the streams with their Nitrogen and making them greener, and brimming with more life, than the present moonscape we see in many parts of the West where the nitrogen cycle was altered by means of the linchpin of the nitrogen cycle coming off the axle of nature in the form big fish stopped spawning in large numbers when their runs came to a crawl.*
This line of logic leads me to surmise that the 'speed of light in a vacuum' arises from what is governed by the radiation contained in the 'foam of space' (comprised of the four flavors of quarks in repair of the past, explaining the power of the 'gas in the (proverbial) tank' of the present -- as Dark, Energetic and Organic so as to propel, expand, and provide for the future -- in the micro[wave radiation] and macro) gears which is my conception of the cogs of the expanding universal gearbox meshing in such cosmic perfection that there is a logical return of the energy that created the light factored into the equation to keep the lights on back on the home Star burning for the prescribed and observed Space Time and time again across the Universe -- thus providing enough data to perhaps resolving the Faint Young Star Paradox explaining how Stars are renewed over time and space via paradoxically Ross Perot's 'giant sucking sound' technology/meme of economic shrink to the south, explained on another level by Steven Hawking's Theory of Black Hole Radiation as illustrated above, by means of the past powering the present and the future at the rate of the en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cosmological_constant ('giant suck' rate of -1) per the en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cosmological_principle that both expands the Universe and binds matter together care of the physical gears of en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conservation_of_mass by means of the above mentioned phase transition.

There is much math for the above and it is boggling my mind as to a happy conclusion.

" Bonjour softies! Ok thats about all the french I know and I'm not going to embarrass myself further pretending to know more, pardon moi ; ) To say I had amazing time in this beautiful city is the understatement of the century! It was beyond incredible and I did not want to leave!!!!!!!!!!!!! A Golden Wonder isn't easily impressed but this place takes the biscuit and dunks it! I'm glad the Mrs got at least one good shot of me in front of the Eiffel Tower, she was still floating on her Blythecon cloud and in shock of how much she had treated us kittenlashes to! I told her anything for me ( ok and my sisters!) is euros well spent and worth it! We had the time of our lives, meeting so many wonderful softies and being totally overwhelmed with all the beautiful stalls at Blythecon, the Mrs totally made an idiot of herself on many occasions and I apologise if she appeared like an overheated fruitloop. There was just not enough time to see all the splendour Paris had to offer, but what we did get to see, will stay with us forever! Made even more special sharing it with the dear Ditsy Print Mrs and her tres jolie softie Sophia! So, here's the story. My brother (Sean) asked Cory for a ride to the MAX so he could get to school the next morning at 7:20 (usually Mom drops him off but her car was in the shop and Dad couldn't because he is already at work by that time).
Of course Cory said yes. Well, his schedule at work changed and the switch over caused him to have to work 6 days in a row instead of his usual four (a 60hr work week instead of 40). He was completely worn out.
He slept through his alarms and my text messages and my brother ended up having to call our aunt to drop him off.
At around 10:30 I received some frantic texts from Cory. He felt SOOOOOO bad and vowed to make it up to my brother (who is a really easy going kind of guy and completely understood. He wasn't at all angry).
We came up with the idea of giving him some cereal. You see, cereal is Sean's life force. He eats at least three bowls a day. When we gave him all this cereal, he couldn't help but grin from ear to ear :)
Of course I had to take some pictures before I handed them over!! :D
I love a nice, warm bowl of oatmeal (I'm always so proud when I get the consistency right!), Cheerios, Honey Bunches of Oats... and the occasional bowl of Lucky Charms ;)
Fruit Loops aren't really my cup of tea, but I thought they would look so cute paired with my robe (don't worry, they didn't go to waste! Cory was there to slurp them right up).

Yay finally this challenge gave me a reason to use some of these soon 2-year old fruit loops.hahaha I bought them as a prop thinking maybe I'll just let the kids eat the leftovers as a treat ( I don't let them eat stuff like this normally) But they didn't like them, which I'm very happy about. But that also meant they have been sitting in my pantry for almost 2 years I think. I kept them thinking maybe I'll get some photo use out of them, and today was the day!! lol
I'm not sure about the processing of this, I wanted to do something a little bit different for me, but not sure I like it. I might have to leave it for a bit, come back and maybe I've changed my mind about it.

I'm so sorry for not posting lately. I've been extremely busy with my photography business and with starting up my new Yeti Daycare.
I was amazed at just how small they are when attending daycare (Malie is on the left and Neko on the right). In my mind I always imagined Yeti children would be huge. Now I will admit that their parents are MASSIVE and can't even make it in our front door. They also smell rather odd. Not odd like you'd think, not musky or anything like that, more like wet fruit loops.
Anyway, It's a huge endeavour getting a Yeti Daycare up and running and I hope that, since it's seasonal (Yetis summer in South America), it's a success.

I need to decorate the back doors and chalkboard before I decorate this tree, but the garland and ornaments are unpacked and ready to go :) I made all of the ornaments from either candy or fimo clay. Garland is fruit loops, rainbow twizzlers, and candy necklaces.
