We've all seen this countless times, but frankly, I've never seen it like this. Ice Fog on Niagara River?! How rare!

A finger literally froze during the taking of this. I had to thaw it out. Thankfully it wasnt frostbitten.

Chris Guss and I did a seven-hour drive from Chicago to spend the day losing a massive Canadian snowball battle. (Well, Chris did most of the driving). After a full day of eating snow, it was time to return home and go to work with a few hours of sleep while still not being able to feel my toes.

Rolling southward on the Saint Thomas line with plenty of momentum, freshly fallen and drifted snow was getting tossed aside by Ontario Southland's 1927-vintage Canadian Pacific snowplow.

It was a great time spent with great friends doing something that would make most normal people question my sanity.

I would do it again in a heartbeat.

inspired by this very cold morning at the bus stop.

Frostbite - Abiqua Falls, Oregon - Aaron Reed Photography

It got kind of cold on this particular week so I got sideways down the road to Abiqua to check out the hotsprings. The ice in the foreground here was some of the most treacherous I have personally ever attempted to walk on. Those icy molar shaped ice mounds were about a foot across each and extremely beautiful. I tried to capture that beauty here but really...you should have been there. — with Andrew Curtis at Abiqua Falls.

WE 1776 leads a colorful set of SD40s on 643 going past 84 Lumber in Bridgeville PA in the snow

My photostream is going to be very white over the next couple of weeks. We've had so much snow, so all my recent photos have snow as the main theme.

Me.

Was over-exposed, other than cropping, I did not edit

Fight Club: And then, something happened. I let go. Lost in oblivion. Dark and silent and complete. I found freedom. Losing all hope was freedom..

A frigid and windy morning hike up to this frozen lake in Colorado. The wind was gusting 30mph. I was happy to have explored this area and come away with this focus stacked image of the ice crystals near the lake as the morning light hit the beautiful jagged peaks.

As weird as it may sound it is freezing in Florida. Like I bought a winter coat. I've never had to buy a winter coat in all my life. I got a job at the school I use to go to helping out with the K-4 kids for 2-3 hours everyday. I'm really excited because I'm going to school for Early Childhood Education.

I wanted to make this picture really bright in order to give it that freezing chilly feel. :)

Now I'm off to see Motörhead! :)

I won't be online for two days or so.

Please, ignore the left eye. Is really sharper and better big, but flickr has this weird thing about sharpening..

Another picture I took over winter break with my gorgeous friend Annie!! I am finally getting to the rest of the images I have not yet edited. Apparently it is below freezing back in Indiana, so I picked a good semester to study abroad in Rome!

While all the normal people were sitting inside their houses drinking hot chocolate, having hot baths and absorbing the warmth of their fireplace, I was outside in the freezing cold getting rained on. On top of that, I didn't wear shoes. Word.

A thousand years it felt that he was stuck in the icy water of the abyss. Only time would tell how long this hell, that bound him, would last.

I went down to LA today and explored the art museum with Diggie. It was awesome getting to see a lot of the art that I am studying up close. Afterwards, he got in some freezing water for this photo, which I am truly grateful for! It turned out almost exactly as I had planned.
