Photographed in 2009 at Country Classic Cars in Staunton, Illinois.

You are invited to stay and browse through my stream. Here's a quick introduction to my little corner of Flickr:
Automobile Photographs: This is a very large collection of images whose primary, but not exclusive, focus is on American automotive classics. Images are organized by decade, by manufacturer, and by topics (such as convertibles, station wagons, muscle cars, etc.)
Central Illinois (excluding Springfield): Photos relating to the middle section of the "Land of Lincoln" (except for the Capital City of Springfield) may be found in this collection. Every city and town I've photographed is contained within its own set, and rural (as in "countryside") photographs are grouped by county.
Springfield, Illinois: All of my photographs of Springfield and the Abraham Lincoln Sites are in this collection. For the City of Springfield, there are separate sets for the Capitol Complex, Downtown (including the Old State Capitol), Neighborhoods, Parks, Illinois State Fairgrounds and more. Photographs of Lincoln sites include the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, Lincoln Home National Historic Site, Lincoln Tomb, and so on. Also in the Lincoln "All About Abe" (Set) are a few Lincoln sites not located in Springfield.
The Illinois State Fair: My collection of photographs of the Illinois State Fair. The fair offers something for everyone. Grab a corn dog and lemon shake-up, and come take a look!
Beyond Central Illinois: Other locales in the United States and Canada including New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Seattle.
In addition to my location-based sets, here are links to some "topical" collections and sets I've put together:
Barbers & Barber Shops: Traditional barbers and barber shops are on the endangered species list. But there are still plenty to be found if you go looking for them.
Almost Everything Else. Check It Out!!!: Included topics range from man's first walk on the moon to small town schools and churches, and from Soft-Coated Wheaten Terriers (our favorite breed) to things that are abandoned, neglected, weathered, or rusty.

The front end needs work...
I've tried to ID this front end to no avail. Anyone know? Care to take a guess?
Here, we can see straight back to the meat department, where the orange panels are more remnants of the 70s Colonial decor; seeing these orange panels is common in old abandoned Acmes (or was, before they started tearing them down).
View across Front End looking into sales area at Willingboro NJ Super Fresh. Quiet in this scene, the next morning these NCR registers would be ringing away during the store's Grand Opening. Super Fresh was not yet into scanning in 1984.
This is what the front of the engine should look like at this point. I have labeled the various components for clarity.
(Note: I labeled both cam pulleys as RH...just disregard. The RH pulley is on the left in this view).
The front end you'll find four tables primarily used for wedding consults. Its not rare when we have all four going. Its fun when the brides can share their plans with other brides. The front end is used for people to come in to just enjoy a slice with coffee if they choose to eat in.
I've created the webdesign (and frontend coding) for allround ICT-company Deactro, the company I work for.
The dashboard gives quick acces to the major-content of the website. Besides there are a few news-content-windows.
Now that we've got plenty of upgrades in and on the back (for now), let's cheer up the front as well!
In this box we find two yellow foglights (Which I could not find at Citro Classica, but I did score at the British Car Club Day...) As well as my brand new yet classic French/Italian style airhorn. (which I simply ordered online)
Obviously I completely underestimated the time required to get this stuff installed, but hey... The Barn and I are going to be together for a while longer after all... So we've got some time to get this stuff sorted!

Fiat Panda
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"The Fiat Panda is a city car manufactured and marketed by Fiat, now in its third generation.
The first generation Fiat Panda was introduced in 1980, and was produced until 1986, receiving a facelift for 1986-2003.
The second generation, launched in 2003, was the European Car of the Year in 2004.
The third generation debuted at Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2011 and is assembled in Italy at Pomigliano d'Arco.
In 37 years Fiat has sold over 7.5 million Pandas globally, with about 4.5 million being the first series' sales."

FIAT Panda 4X4
Generations Timeline, Specs and Pictures
Generations: 3
First production year: 1986
Engines: Gasoline, Diesel
Body style: Hatchback
- 1986 - 1992
"The first 4x4 from the Panda line-up was released in 1983 and it was the first transverse-engine model with four wheel drive. The 1986 model was part of the Mark 2 in which the engine line-up was changed. Also, for the 4x4 model, the suspension remained the same because any modification would have meant a total redesign of the 4x4 system."
- 2003 - 2012
"The second generation of the Panda 4x4 was introduced in 2003 and was made available in several versions, like the Climbing and the Cross.
The Climbing has a higher ground clearance and larger wheels, but it is not equipped with a lockable differential. The Cross had a different front front end and had additional side cladding. This model did have a differential which could be locked and transmission with reductor."
- 2012 - Present
"The new Panda 4x4 is offered with a choice of two engines, an 85 hp 0.9 TwinAir turbo petrol and a 75 ho 1.3 MultiJet II diesel. Both come equipped as standard with a six-speed manual gearbox with low-range in first gear.
The power is sent to all four wheels via two viscous diffs and electronically controlled coupling. The new Fiat 4x4 also differs from the old version, in that it has standard start-stop."

Frontend of the Prontor-SVS shutter.
I noticed that there where already some marks on the middletube.
This shutter had problems with the slow times, the self-timer and the fact that sometimes the cocking-level stuck halfway after release.
