The old cityscape of Amiens is a charming and picturesque scene, especially during twilight. As the evening approaches, the historic buildings and narrow streets are bathed in a soft, fading light that adds a warm and nostalgic atmosphere. In the background, the magnificent Amiens Cathedral, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture, rises prominently against the dusky sky. Its intricate façade and towering spires create a striking contrast with the quaint, centuries-old houses and market squares in the foreground. Amiens, blending its rich history with the quiet serenity of dusk.....
Po dlhej odmlke sa opäť pripájam semkaj abych zdieľal, čo sa našlo skrz môj hľadák na surovinu. Zdieľanie je radosť, tak hádam aj nejedného poteším. I made this composition over 10 years ago, before I started getting into Travel Photography and storytelling. As I revisit my image archive every now and again, this photo always catches my eye. Taken one spring evening at dusk, I tried to capture how the colorful sky contrasted with the growing shadows. In the middle of all the darkness, the runway lights of Alicante airport seemed to invite me to take off, spread my wings, and discover the world!
Getting back into photography, after spending many years without touching a camera, was a true blessing, allowing me to evolve both as an artist and as a person into who I am today.

Long exposure of a lone burnt tree, in what was once a lush forest in the mountains surrounding Alicante. A devastating fire raged through a few years before, and this tree was somehow left standing, perhaps a reminder of what once stood on these slopes. It's so unfortunate and upsetting that many of these fires are intentional to profit from the land reconversion, a crime that usually goes unpunished.

She's coming...
I found this as difficult as last year's Halloween-ish theme. While I really like a good scary movie, I do not have any real "Halloween" props, so I decided to illustrate the legend of "The White Lady", a ghost, all dressed in white, who is said to haunt the Grunewald Hunting Château, the Spandau Citadel, and, when it still existed, the Berlin Palace. "White Lady" legends, however, are known all around the world, and are usually associated with some kind of tragedy, or, in case of the "White Lady" from Berlin, some kind of injustice.
When I was done, however, the capture reminded me more of a scene from the movie "From Dusk Till Dawn". "My Wife"

I guess I'll leave it open to your interpretation ;-)

A Happy Macro Monday, Everyone!
Walking along the canal at the blue hour with the city lights already on, it is easy to walk and enjoy this old historic part of the city....Known as the Portuguese Venice, people flock to it for its canals and colourful boats.....
The largest and oldest convent in Tyrol, inhabited by the Augustinian Canons. It is located in the municipality of Varna, in the immediate vicinity of Bressanone, and is one of the most prestigious abbeys in northern Italy and the Alpine Arch. The Abbey of Novacella was founded in 1142 by the blessed bishop Hartmann, initially conceived as an autonomous institution for practicing the arts and education. In the course of its evolution it has also been a hospice for pilgrims going to Val Pusteria, and today it has become a reference point for local companies that find agriculture, viticulture, herbal medicine, a cultural and training center here....
I made this nocturnal long exposure in a small cove on the Spanish coast, close to Alicante. Taking photos at night totally different than during the day. You are a lot less impulsive, and take the time to carefully compose your shot, using light (natural and added) to create something interesting. It may take you a few tries to get everything right, but once all the elements come together, a piece of art emerges...

Sandcrawler in the dawn.
And yes, I know. The title is a cliche, but I think it fits on this one perfectly. :D
A scrolling through your oldies can be sometimes rewarding, here's a photograph taken back in 2016 featuring two suns and a sand crawler. The sandcrawler is built by me, using only 4 bricks.
In the urban jungle, where time moved at the speed of light, you can found freedom in the chaos. The city's heartbeat echoed in his ears, a relentless drum that pushed him to go faster, reach higher. As he weaved through the luminous arteries of the metropolis, he realized that in the race against time, the urban lights were both his guide and his destination.

A French legend tells of a dragon called Gargouille, who had wings and body reptile, living in a cave near the Seine and calm with only annual sacrificial offerings. Around 600 came to Rouen a priest named Romanus (the future Archbishop of Rouen), which promised to liberate the country from the dragon in exchange for the conversion of all citizens and the construction of a church. Romanus subdued the monster with the sign of the cross and exorcise, and led him out of the country tied to a leash made from his cassock. Gargouille was burned on a pyre, but the neck and head were not burned and therefore detached from the body and placed on the walls of Rouen, thus becoming the model for gargolle.
Una leggenda francese parla di un drago chiamato Gargouille, che possedeva ali e corpo da rettile; viveva in una caverna nei pressi della Senna e si placava soltanto con offerte sacrificali annuali. Intorno al 600 giunse a Rouen un sacerdote di nome Romanus (futuro arcivescovo di Rouen), che promise di liberare il paese dal drago in cambio della conversione di tutti i cittadini e la costruzione di una chiesa. Romanus sottomise il mostro con il segno della croce ed esorcizzandolo, e lo portò fuori dal paese legato a un guinzaglio fatto con la sua tonaca. Gargouille fu bruciato su un rogo, ma il collo e la testa non bruciarono e vennero perciò staccati dal corpo e posti sulle mura di Rouen, divenendo così il modello per le gargolle.
