Doris Mooltsje located near by Oudega

Yesterday it was a beautiful day for the Dutch to enjoy the (finally) frozen lakes. This picture was taken at the Goaiingarypster Puollen in Fryslân.

Nieuwenhuize B.V. from Yerseke and engages in mussel and oyster fishery. It was built in 1994 by Stocznia Txzw Sp in Tcew (Poland) and Maaskant in Bruinisse (Holland), It has two Cummins engines (702 kW). Size: 38,00 x 9,00 x 2,70 m, draught 0,840 m.

 

By the way: a cutter is smaller than a trawler (in Katwijk it's called a 'trolder'), mainly operates on the North Sea and only stays at sea two to five days in a row.

Der rot-gelb geringelte Leuchtturm Pilsum: Zwar schon lange nicht mehr in Betrieb, aber dennoch prägt er als Wahrzeichen die gesamte Region Friesland.

 

The red and yellow striped Pilsum lighthouse: no longer in operation, but still the landmark of the entire Friesland region.

On the ferry, on the Wadden sea, between Harlingen and Vlieland. Far away, mainland Friesland is still visible.
