This just felt like the perfect Saturday image.
Always about the light and getting it just right. Well I guess there is no absolute right. There are many ways to light something. I like it as natural as possible.
On a sunny day, just add slices of lime to some chilled lemonade and voilà!

So Sorry to have to post and run today, I'll try and catch up later. Couldn't believe my luck when I was setting up my fruit pic for Smile on Saturday Group then indoors flew this Gatekeeper and decided to land on the fruit! Have a great weekend. It's our 35th Wedding Anniversary so may be a little busy - if I'm lucky a little fruity lol, chance would be a fine thing but even better off to spend it with my gorgeous grandson! ;0)
a large portion every morning... a healthy habit.

I must admit that the Sound of Music is one of my favourite movies. Whenever it comes on the telly I must watch it. I've probably seen it about 20 times!

The jackfruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus), also known as jack tree, fenne, jakfruit, or sometimes simply jack or jak, is a species of tree in the fig, mulberry, and breadfruit family (Moraceae) native to South India.
The jackfruit tree is well suited to tropical lowlands, and its fruit is the largest tree-borne fruit, reaching as much as 35 kg (80 lb) in weight, 90 cm (35 in) in length, and 50 cm (20 in) in diameter. A mature jackfruit tree can produce about 100 to 200 fruits in a year. The jackfruit is a multiple fruit, composed of hundreds to thousands of individual flowers, and it is the fleshy petals that are eaten.
The jackfruit tree is a widely cultivated and popular food item throughout the tropical regions of the world. Jackfruit is the national fruit of Bangladesh.
Aroma
Jackfruit have a distinctive sweet and fruity aroma. In a study of flavour volatiles in five jackfruit cultivars, the main volatile compounds that were detected were ethyl isovalerate, propyl isovalerate, butyl isovalerate, isobutyl isovalerate, 3-methylbutyl acetate, 1-butanol, and 2-methylbutan-1-ol. A fully ripe and unopened jackfruit is known to "emit a strong aroma," with the inside of the fruit described as smelling of pineapple and banana. After roasting, the seeds may be used as a commercial alternative to chocolate aroma.
The fruit of a tree is the result of its life,
It can be sweet as a raisin, or sour as strife.
It's only as good as what the tree is fed,
we feed on the images that stay in our head

Small town NZ, Pop. 3500. Renowned for it's Strawberry production, an annual festival is held here aptly named "Strawberry Fair".
It's also one of the few places in New Zealand where wild Wallaby's roam in abundance.
