The Statue of Liberty (Liberty Enlightening the World; French: La Liberté éclairant le monde) is a colossal neoclassical sculpture on Liberty Island in New York Harbor within New York City, in the United States.
The Statue of Liberty is modeled after the Roman goddess of freedom, Libertas. The seven spikes on the crown represent the seven oceans and seven continents to further indicate the universal concept of liberty. It took 30 years for the Statue of Liberty to change colors from copper to green.

I noticed a busker a few weeks back at this spot (see the shot in the comments) and wanted to get a shot of him and the word Dreamer. Couldn't quite get the angle right at the time (people in the way, cafe tables and chairs, etc) but have been keeping my eye on the spot for another opportunity.
This is not the shot I was aiming to get, but I quite liked it anyway :-)
"South City Mall" has become quite a landmark in Kolkata. The Shopping Mall, as of 2009, is the largest in Eastern India. It consists of shops which also sells slight expensive brands (from the perspective of an average Indian citizen).Thus, many people term it as an expensive mall.
A patisserie in the town of Lambourn, West Berkshire named the French Connection although the home made hot pasties on offer sound very British!
I have skateboarded and shot skateboard photography for 20 years now. I love having access to something I've wanted all my life that I'm comfortable and knowledgeable about. I can throw my skateboard down in the street any time and get the feeling I had as a kid. Wondering what tricks I can do, wondering what spot is around the next block, the next town, state, or country. Kickflip over the city of Perpignan France, Fred Ploix Happy skateboard birthday to me!
I feel in a complete daze today! Think the lovely heat is doing something odd to me. Feel most peculiar! And i have rabbits on my top. Yes i do. Because I'm cool like that. Uh huh. Yes.

Our (different) views part as friends.
My Hero Husband just brought our dear friends to the airport, back to their present abode in Moscow. We therefore won't see them again very soon... The short time we spent together was filled to the brim with serious discussions, much banter, laughter, a warm feeling of deep love, and despair over conflicting views on pretty important issues. But at any time, we agreed to disagree, no more, each one trying to explain his/her views and we never once broke up without seeing what the other/s meant. It was a time of commitment, fun, thought provoking moments interwoven with totally silly and hilarious outbursts... we were very much alive and I am nearly broken to pieces because they have left us... BUT look at all the fun we had, look at the joy of having seen each other, of everything we shared... Ain't we blessed to have been able to live these days? YEP, we are and we were....
This is my friend when we left their Paris apartment the last time before they moved abroad. She swept out of the terribly fashionable near Paternoster ascenceur (lift) to open all the heavily pin-coded doors so that they could get rid of us (LOL).... She never knew I took that sweeping shot and she'll be surprised to find herself later on - when she and her husband get back... Bonjour R & J; it was so good while it lasted!!!

Don't panic..!! I'm still here, I just had to take a little time out for 2 days..
Sometimes day to day life just can't be avoided and mundane tasks have to done.
Anyway, normal service should now be resumed with some quality weekend downtime..

In this image, I was visualizing the model stepping outside the confines of the illusion and turning her back to it completely, in essence, turning to face the reality.
