Gearing up for a new texture pack! Here is a hint. Lots of color and painterly. Feel free to use this over your artwork. Commercial art work OK, I just ask you do not resell the texture itself, or claim it as your own. Enjoy! And be sure to join the Distressed Facebook group for updates and release info.

Another shot from the Roe Valley Country Park in Limavady, Co. Londonderry.

The whin bushes were out in bloom on Easter Monday and I couldn't be bothered changing to my macro lens, but the Sigma 150-500mm still worked a treat for this one :)

thanks to Jennrationdesign for the free bokeh texture www.flickr.com/photos/jennrationdesign/5314608118/sizes/z...

This picture makes me think of little magical fairies twinkling around the blossoms :)

This is 2 photos combined in picasa. One is an orange texture background, and the other is a photo from my images. In picasa choose the 2 photos you want to merge. Click the tiny green thumb tack at the bottom left to hold the photos in the photo tray at left. go to collage, bottom right of screen, this opens a new window. At the top left side of the newly opened box scroll down to the last choice Multiple Exposures-superimpose pictures. To find textures for the background you can check out www.flickr.com/groups/freetextures/pool/

I have to give credit to Katcat for helping me find the textures, and that this could be done so easily in picasa.

El agua de este manantial viene vestida de blanco, de blanco ceniza, blanco que se rompe, para dejar entrar en sus entrañas nuevas texturas, nuevos colores, que teñirán, inevitablemente, todo su camino hasta llegar al mar

This is for Bordadorhund who has written me an absolutely lovely testimonial :) Thanks so much Deb, for the kind words and for being such a lovely Flickr friend!

Out on the Malverns again, I go walking on the hills whenever I get the chance because I get a proper walk up there!! Unlike when we're out on playing fields or on our normal walk on the common, Barney is too preoccupied exploring to be interested in playing fetch for long :) He can be "just a dog" when we're walking on the hills, he forgets about being a border collie, with all their hang ups and quirky, obsessive compulsive behaviour for whole minutes at a time!!

He plays with me for a few minutes, then skitters away to explore some more. He just loves to just run and run... pausing only to survey the land or wait for his slow human companion :) There's hundreds of scents to sniff, miles of open ground to run across, and crows to scout for. He loves crows; they are so slow to take off when stalked and fly low, so are very tempting to chase! There's also invisible squirrel chasing, all small trees we pass have to be circled and jumped at, just in case... Yep, we all have a good time out "in the wilds" (the hills aren't really very wild but they're closest we get in Worcestershire!!)

Created with iColorama and Procreate and PaintCan
