What is it about hitchhiking and seeing the world on a shoe string budget that appeals to many of us deep inside. When I viewed this young man years ago I was struck by how confident and energetic his outlook was on life. What was interesting about this young man I thought was that instead of a backpack that most hitchhikers carried he had a suitcase. Always go in style he said with a grin. In many ways he reminded me of myself long ago hitting the road seeing what's behind the next bend and whatever comes along, comes along. It was the traveling part that I enjoyed the most, the going rather than the getting there & enjoying life's experiences along the way and if I got to where I was going that was okay, and if I ended up somewhere else that was okay too.
Garberville, California seems to be a mecca or a meeting place where hitchhikers traveling about stop and rest & re-group for a couple of days and talk to fellow hitchhikers about their travels and experiences. And then when the moment or inkling struck them they would once again start thumbing their way out of town whether going North-South East or West. To be young again and carefree....

Spent some time today with my granddaughters, this one turns four on the 19th, and she definitely has a mind of her own. Really enjoying watching that personality grow and find expression.

There are a million things I could say, but I'll just settle for saying she is a phenomenal person that I admire in so many ways.
Flickr won't be the same without her poking her little head up everyday.
Congrats, Brooke. You are, without a doubt, that gorgeous, cute, popular and freespirited cheerleader that everyone is staring at while I'm the sweaty girl going in for the three pointer to win the game and noone notices.
But. You're so much better than that....so....bad analogy. whatever.

And that's that. Another day behind me....I gots some house cleaning to do and everyone cross your fingers that the hubby gets off work earlier cos he don't have to work tomorrow and I want to go hang out with the in-laws. (mine. not his. yeah.)

On January 13th was my 1 year anniversary on flickr =) i forgot to do something special on here coz i was too busy to do so...
There are a lot of people that has been here with me on flickr, i am so greatful to have bumped on your photostreams, these people right here are an amazing inspiration, and most of all they are good people, even though (sadly) i don't know any of them in person, everytime i see one of their comments a smile is drawn to my face and i feel happy, even if i'm having a really bad day...
Each and every one of you have tought me that there isn't such thing as the perfect photographer only amazing different perspectives and that a photo really is worth more than a 1,000 words.
I'm sorry for all the cheesy stuff, Valentine's is coming hehe but i don't really believe in that, although i want to take this opportunity to say thank you so much my flickr friends for all the support, for all the comments, for all the faves! =)

Lynn and Audrey, two awesome ladies I have known since I was but a wee lad, finally (thanks, Supreme Court!) got married this week after having been together for more than twenty years. The wedding, the first one I've ever shot that was held on a Monday, was one of the most joyous, freespirited celebrations of love that I've ever been a part of professionally or otherwise. If every wedding I shot were this much fun, I'd probably shoot more weddings!
