I am thankful for a gift of pattern from a friend. This little collaged quilt is full of different kinds of patterns and whimsy. It will be a source of inspiration in my studio hung on a wall where I can see it every day. #cy365 day313 #patterns#freddymoran

I have several muses...women I admire who share their creative journey struggles and successes. Because of them I am inspired, energized and grateful for what is. Today's prompt is #muse#cy365#captureyour365#inspiration#Freddymoran
Freddy Moran - my guest for 10 days- and 85 years young - filled my house and studio with so much goodness and inspiration. She started her quilting art when she was 60 after raising five sons. She is a special lady and quilt artist extraordinaire.
This series is from a big queen size quilt I made for my bed (something I'll NEVER do again!!) after I took a class from Freddy Moran and made my first quilt on a machine. Freddy Moran is an 80+ woman who has tons of energy, dresses in pink and red, with big red eyeglasses, and also loves bright colors, like I do. These pictures are sections from the quilt. I used tons of different fabrics and had fun making it, but I really don't want to make anything that big again.
