Creo que se merece una en color. Me gustan los tonos que le dan las luces del escenario y el hecho de que se diera cuenta de que le estaba haciendo una foto y me mirara justo en el momento del disparo.
Intérprete de soul, Funk y Jazz. Leyenda viva de la "black music". Con James Brown diseño un sonido funk muy influyente y perfectamente reconocible. Fue, además, compañero durante años de Maceo Parker. Es reconocido por sus colegas como uno de los mejores trombonistas de su generación y uno de los más grandes compositores y arreglistas del funk.

Day 13: Gettin Paw's Smokes.
Just like the old days. Had to run inta town ta git paw his fancy cigars. Been doin this as long as I can rememba. Paw taugh' me a lot growin up. Like how ta hunt, fish, farm, shine and pick out tha best cigars on the market. Love my paw!
Day 14: Fetchin Suppa!
Paw said he wanted frog legs fer suppa. So here I is, down by the swamp lookin fer sum frogs. Managed to catch a few so far using that speed pog taugh me. Slippery lil buggas. Lori's been laughing at me the whole time. Silly wifey. Back to frog catchin!

Afta those dang old stomach problems tha Strange girl from a few days ago convinced me ta try out a funny smellin tobacco. Stomach feel fine, but my hed feel all funny. This darn ole flamingo keeps lookin at me all funny too. Whoowhie, am I hungry again! See y'all real soon!
Fred feels free, he was walking with me and my dogs. He is happy because he has not been out mutch for the last weeks.
This was idea number seven for Fred's project. Doing this project will be great for both Fred and myself. His "stay" command is not yet strong. But, her does have a good "leave it". I only had about 15 minutes to get shots of both him and Eva during daylight this week because of a combination of short daylight hours, work schedules, and leaving Friday morning for a speedskate meet in Calgary.
This is a high value treat that Santa left a bag of in the stockings. And surprisingly only 3 of them were consumed during the photo session.

Kingsburg, Ca.
Kingsburg Historical Park
This sign now resides at the Kingsburg Historical Park. Fred's was an early day truck stop, with a small cafe that served mostly grease and coffee. Barely ever a woman to be found there, and you had to at least look tough to hang there. Ask for a cup of tea, or a salad, and you might get thrown out. The place was established before all the chains built truck stops all over the place. Drivers from coast to coast knew of this place. But time caught up with it and it was torn down a few years ago. The feds cleaned up the hazardous waste and now it's a lot for sale.

The Fred Woods Trail is a 4.5 mile loop trail near the small town of Driftwood, perched high atop the surrounding mountains. The trail was built in honor of forester Fred Woods who died from a heavy machinery accident while on the job in 1975. The trail meanders through huge boulders that make a "rock city" in the woods, as well as visiting two breathtaking vistas.

Pair of Robins waiting for me on the Car park sign yesterday morning. Fred always flys to and sits on my hand. They are both feeding their young at present :-)
We have two ducks come every day and sit in our grass and stare at our house. My husband named them Fred & Ethel and when we notice them Dave goes out or opens a window and throws them corn and they just come a waddling. Soon I will look out and he'll be feeding them out of his hand!!!
While I was taking photos of the art installed in the stations along 14th Street the artist Fred Tomaselli walked by. We spoke for a few minutes and then I asked if I could take his photo.

Puppies grow up way to fast. Here is 6 month old Fred looking all adolescent handsome. With just a titch of goofy thrown in to the mix too.
Fred, our handsome 14-year old. Fred has been a slow but positive in getting used to having three new kittens around.

An energetic cockapoo living in Somerset. Enjoys visiting historic gardens, beaches and garden centres. Loves all games that include a ball.
This is the 'Fred Hollows' ferry, a Sydney Ferries catamaran, built by 'Incat' in Hobart, Tasmania.
It is arriving at the McMahon's Point Wharf, on Lavender Bay (Sydney harbour).

This ferry is dedicated to the memory of Fred Hollows who was a gifted ophthalmologist. He was born in New Zealand but, after studying in the UK, came to Australia where he was named 'Australian of the Year' in 1990.
He was committed to restoring the sight of people in Australia, Nepal, Eritrea (in Africa) and Vietnam, et.al., most especially the disadvantaged and/or indigenous people of those countries. He gave up so much of his time and money to help people gain or re-gain their sight.
Interestingly he was a member of the Communist Party in the 1950s. He sadly died at the age of only 63, in 1993, of renal cancer.
