In 2012, the Florida Southern College Historic District was designated a National Historic Landmark by the National Park Service of the U.S. Department of the Interior for being the largest single-site collection of Frank Lloyd Wright architecture in the world.
A living room designed by my all-time favorite architect Frank Lloyd Wright between 1912-1914, including furniture, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC. This was a panoranic shot I made by combing two photos. It's not totally realistic. The room looks curved, but it isn't. I've got to learn better how to make panoramas, since I like them so much. For me, making panoramas is a compensation for not having a wide-angle lense. Photos taken with ultra-wide-angle lenses come out looking curved, too.
One of many shots to come from this year's conference of the Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy. I got to spend the evening at Fallingwater photographing it at night with Frank Lloyd Wright's grandson, Eric Lloyd Wright. What a great time.
When Frank Lloyd Wright died in 1959, he was buried here. In 1985, when his widow Olgivanna passed away, his body was cremated and moved to Taliesin West in Arizona where it was interred with Olgivanna and her daughter.
