A collection of some 200 old cars (mainly Fiat's) has been found in Kolding, Denmark. Many of the cars have never been sold!!!! Brand new Fiat 127, 128, 131, Ritmo etc.

And here's the story:

"Jens Sørensen owned a Fiat garage in Kolding, Denmark, and for some reason didn't resell the cars which he took in part-exchange for new ones between 1973 and 1981.

Then in 1981 he was made to choose by Fiat Denmark whether to run the business as a truck agency or a passenger car franchise. He opted for the trucks, and just left all the passenger cars where they were, including some unsold new models.

Now a descendent of his who appears to be Kjeld, son of Sven Sørensen, finds that he owns about 200 old cars, and has decided to sell most of them. So far this has only been publicised by word-of-mouth. He plans to keep the best examples of each model, but others are for sale, ranging in value from the equivalent of €250 for an accident-damaged Fiat 600 to €6500 for a Lancia Beta with 16,000 km on the clock, which was run as a company car.

There are some second series Fiat 127s with delivery mileage, but it seems that there are problems with cars which were never actually registered when new. These cannot now be put on the road in Denmark because of emissions regulations."

Yesterday I went to a local Greek (ish) franchise to get Kathy and I some comfort food. The reflection of the blue light looked nice so I grabbed my camera and clicked away.

I came home and we ate sitting in bed (rare) and watched DVDs. A terrible Yellowstone video by National Geographic started. It was full of fake zooms and false drama. Why anyone in their right mind would see the need to make a perfect location like Yellowstone into some sort of cheap action movie escapes me.

Dreadful.

Then we put on the movie "The Conformist". I haven't been so excited by a movie in a long time. The colors, patterns and scenic beauty is amazing. We actually stopped watching after a half hour and agreed to savor it in smaller doses.

The local weather is another story. I am officially depressed by the situation. We have had a month of on and off Santa Ana's. Today was 86 degrees. Tomorrow is supposed to be the same. And next week appears to be heading the same direction.

It feels so helpless to be on a planet populated by people who are unwilling or unable to see more than one week into the future. And led by people who are only willing to serve those with the most money.

Too bad.

Virgin Trains' Class 390 "Pendolino" (or is that "Plaindolino"?) 390122 is symbolic of the franchise entering its twilight days. The south end (as its currently marshalled) has lost its branding and is simply plain white, whereas the rear still retains the red Virgin Trains 'swoosh' on its cab.

Virgin (and Stagecoach) will end their long involvement in the West Coast franchise in December, with new tenants First Trenitalia taking it forward from then.

390122 races through Hartford with the 1M15 14:38 Glasgow Central High Level to Euston service.

Warner Bros Studio Tour London: The Making of Harry Potter

Warner Bros Studio, Aerodrome Way, Leavesden, Watford, Herts, WD25 7LS

A great day out for every fan of the boy wizard.

The Making of Harry Potter studio tour, covering 150,000 square foot, on two soundstages opened on the 31st March 2012, with stars galore at the red carpet launch at the Leavesden Studios where all eight movies were produced.

The home for many film productions, including several James Bond features, before a relatively new production company arrived there to make a film about a young boy who on his 11th birthday discovers he is a wizard.

Over the next ten years, the cast and crew of over 4,000 in total used more and more of the studios as the popularity of the books and films grew. The three young stars lived, grew up, went to school and turned into adults there on those stages.

Your tour begins in the foyer, with a flying Ford Anglia hanging from the ceiling and the walls adorned with huge photos of the cast, along with a few props.

Passing by the set of the cupboard under the stairs, you enter a room with a number of vertical TV screens showing Potter movie posters from around the world, followed by a short video sequence showing the rise of Harry’s popularity, the production teams discovery of the stories and the enormous worldwide success of the books and films.

Moving into the cinema, a short film introduced by Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, talking about their experiences growing up on a film set for ten years, with clips from all eight films. The film ends with them standing in front of the main doors to the Great Hall and they walk in through the doors and invite you to follow them.

The screen at this point slowly rises to reveal the actual main doors to the Great Hall, surrounded with stone statues and carvings. What a wizard way to start the tour.

Walking through into the Great Hall we are told that we were now walking on the actual stone floor used in the films and seeing the actual tables where the actors ate their feasts. Dummies down each side of the hall wear the actual costumes used in the films. At the far end of the hall is the teachers’ table area, with more amazing costumes worn by Professors Dumbledore, Snape, McGonagall, Moody, Trelawney and Flitwick, as well as Hagrid and Filch too.

Leaving the Great Hall you enter the first of two vast sound stages. This includes sets for the Gryffindor Common Room and Dormitory, Dumbledore’s Office, Potions Classroom, Hagrid’s Hut, Burrow’s Kitchen and parts of the Ministry of Magic, also Umbridge’s gaudy pink, feline office. Each filled to the brim with props and costumes.

Props can be seen everywhere, with a massive cage in the centre, chock-a-block with goblets, chandeliers, wands and armour. A huge glass case contains the wands of 24 of the major characters – less than 1 percent of the total number of wands made for the films. The ornate doors to a Gringott’s vault and to the Chamber of Secrets are seen after passing a wall dedicated to the paintings produced to decorate the walls of Hogwarts.

Below the giant swinging pendulum of the Hogwarts castle clock there are several huge touch screens containing an interactive Marauders Map.

There are sections of the soundstage dedicated to various movie-making crafts. The hair and makeup section, costumes section, animal department, graphic design and production.

The final section in this first soundstage is dedicated to the Special Effects department with three huge video screens showing all the tricks and techniques, including greenscreen footage and CGI. Props attached to their motion rigs, include the Gringott’s Vault Cart and Mad-Eye Moody’s Recumbent Broomstick.

In separate room you can have a go on a broomstick or drive the Ford Anglia yourself, using the greenscreen technology.

The Backlot about half way round the tour is an open air section between the two soundstages where refreshments are available, including Butterbeer the popular wizarding beverage.

Also featured on the backlot are the Knight Bus, another Ford Anglia, Hagrid’s motorbike/sidecar, the Riddle family tombstone, a section of the rickety wooden Hogwarts Bridge, Potter’s burnt out cottage from Godric’s Hollow and Number 4 Privet Drive.

Entering the second soundstage you pass some of the giant chess pieces from the first movie. A number of video screens here progressively show what it was like to work in the creature shop, cleverly leading you from one screen to the next, past models of Fawkes, a snapping Monster Book of Monsters and a giant animatronic head of Hagrid. The next room has the life size (i.e., ENORMOUS!) model of Aragog the spider and one of three animatronic Buckbeak models.

Walking around the corner (WOW) you are transported into another world entirely. The dark lighting and cobbled street can only mean one thing – you have entered Diagon Alley. The shops using the original sets have been rebuilt– Flourish & Blotts, Eeylops Owl Emporium, Potage’s Cauldron Shop and of course Ollivander’s Wand Shop, each and every one them is crammed full of detail. At the other end of the street is Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes, with the bright orange shopfront standing out from the crowd of blackness and featuring a moving model of one of the red-haired twins doffing his hat.

At the end of Diagon Alley you move onto the Art and Design department with walls covered with architectural drawings and detailed plans, accurate down to the millimetre, for many of the props and sets already seen. A draftsman’s table serves as a projection screen for another video about the work of the art department.

Moving on, up the ascending path are walls full of concept paintings and artwork, also intricate cardboard models of Hogsmead and the Hogwarts.

You are only looking at a model of the model though, as entering the next room, there, spread over at least 15 square metres is the most amazing, complex and elaborate model built to a 1:24 scale. It has a bigger footprint than the average house.

The last part of the tour is a fitting tribute to the crew and cast of the most popular film franchise of all time. A much tidier recreation of the interior of Ollivander’s Wand shop, with over 4,000 wand boxes lining its shelves – one for every single person who worked on the films.

Hogwarts Castle Model - Get a 360 degree view of the incredible, hand sculpted 1:24 scale construction that features within the Studio Tour. The Hogwarts castle model is the jewel of the Art Department having been built for the first film, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. It took 86 artists and crew members to construct the first version which was then rebuilt and altered many times over for the next seven films. The work was so extensive that if one was to add all the man hours that have gone into building and reworking the model, it would come to over 74 years. The model was used for aerial photography, and was digitally scanned for CGI scenes.

The model, which sits at nearly 50 feet in diameter, has over 2,500 fibre optic lights that simulate lanterns and torches and even gave the illusion of students passing through hallways in the films. To show off the lighting to full effect a day-to-night cycle will take place every four minutes so you can experience its full beauty.

An amazing amount of detail went into the making of the model: all the doors are hinged, real plants are used for landscaping and miniature birds are housed in the Owlery. To make the model appear even more realistic, artists rebuilt miniature versions of the courtyards from Alnwick Castle and Durham Cathedral, where scenes from Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone were shot.

Like many of the fans who endured the cold, drizzly conditions inside Reliant Stadium to start the game, the Texans took a few minutes to warm up Sunday afternoon in the regular season finale against the Chicago Bears.

After a wake-up call courtesy of a momentum-changing sack by defensive end Mario Williams and a stern message from coach Gary Kubiak, the fans were treated to a spectacular offensive display led by Pro Bowler Andre Johnson and rookie running back Steve Slaton .

The 31-24 win gave Houston its second-consecutive 8-8 record to end the season, and it shut out the Bears from postseason contention.

Texans owner Bob McNair admired the team's strong finish to the season.

"I'd rather be 16-0," McNair said. "But I think starting out the way we did, 0-4, coming back, understand that only nine other teams have ever done that (start 0-4 and finish .500 or better) in this history of the NFL. So I think it was an accomplishment for our team."

Early on, the Texans appeared to suffer from the same malaise they showed at Oakland a week earlier. But the team erased a 10-0 deficit in the first quarter with 21 unanswered points to take a 21-10 lead early in the third quarter.

In that stretch, Johnson scored back-to-back touchdowns to bring the franchise-record crowd of 70,838 to its feet. The Pro Bowler finished with 10 catches for 148 yards (14.8 avg.) to end the season with the NFL lead in receptions (115) and receiving yards (1,575).

Meanwhile, Slaton rebounded from a first half in which he totaled only 19 rushing yards and lost a fumble to put the offense on his back in the final quarter of play. By gaining 128 total yards from scrimmage and scoring a touchdown in the game, Slaton may have sealed NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year honors.

Slaton’s five-yard gain with 1:24 remaining in the contest gave Houston a first down and allowed the team to run out the remainder of the clock.

"I really like the way we came back and played after we played pretty poorly on both sides of the ball throughout the first quarter," Kubiak said.

Chicago scored its first touchdown with 5:57 remaining in the first quarter when wide receiver Brandon Lloyd stretched out for a four-yard touchdown grab near the front left pylon. A 15-yard reception by wide receiver Devin Hester and a 15-yard penalty on defensive end Tim Bulman for roughing the passer set up the score.

Wide receiver André Davis ' 39-yard kickoff return down the Bears' sideline gave the Texans solid field position at their 42-yard line to begin their second possession. But Slaton fumbled on the first play from scrimmage after being tackled by cornerback Charles Tillman. Defensive end Alex Brown recovered the fumble and returned it 17 yards to the Houston 38.

Three plays later, Robbie Gould's 37-yard field goal made the score 10-0.

The next drive started promising when quarterback Matt Schaub threw a tight spiral to Davis for a 33-yard gain up the middle of the field. But tight end Owen Daniels was penalized 15 yards for unnecessary roughness on the next play, and Schaub was flagged 10 yards for intentional grounding one play later to derail the drive and force a punt.

Upon returning to the sideline, the offense received an earful from Kubiak.

"I just didn't think we were going about our business the way we were capable of playing," Kubiak said. "That's not us. We're usually a pretty poised group as a football team and right there is losing poise and getting a shot in on a guy and all of a sudden it took a lot of momentum away from us."

With 11:26 left in the first half, Chicago took over at the Houston 49 following a three-and-out series by the Texans. But Williams saved the defense with his 12th sack of the season by tackling quarterback Kyle Orton at the Chicago 45 for a 10-yard loss on third down.

From there, Johnson caught three passes for 72 yards, including a 43-yard touchdown where he dragged two defenders with him over the goal line. Kris Brown's extra point cut the Bears' lead to 10-7 with 5:50 remaining before halftime.

Running back Ryan Moats forced a fumble on the ensuing kickoff when he tackled Devin Hester. Brown dove on the ball at the Chicago 38 for the Texans' first takeaway.

On third-and-goal at the three-yard line, Schaub threw a fade route to Johnson in the back right corner of the end zone, and Johnson ripped away the ball from Tillman for the score.

Safety Danieal Manning returned the opening kickoff of the second half 40 yards to the Chicago 45. But on third-and-six, rookie safety Dominique Barber blitzed off the right side to sack Orton for a nine-yard loss.

Picking up where he left off in the first half, Johnson gained 21 yards to the Houston 48 on his first reception of the third quarter. Later, Slaton's 17-yard catch and wide receiver Kevin Walter's 23-yard grab helped give the Texans a first down at the Chicago 17.

Moats scored his first touchdown with the team on a two-yard rush off the left guard to cap the nine-play drive. Brown's extra point extended the Texans' lead to 21-10 with 8:30 left in the third quarter.

The Bears refused to lie down and responded with a seven-play, 77-yard drive over 3:00. A 37-yard catch by Hester to the Texans' one-yard line set up Orton's touchdown pass to tight end Greg Olsen.

Late in the third quarter, the Texans moved into scoring range thanks to a 33-yard catch by Daniels to the Chicago 15. On third-and-10 at the 15-yard line, wide receiver David Anderson made a diving nine-yard reception, and Schaub dove forward on fourth down to keep the drive alive.

Following two short rushes by Slaton, Schaub's pass intended for Anderson on third-and-goal from the four-yard line fell incomplete, setting up Brown's 22-yard field goal.

Following a Chicago punt to the Houston 11 midway through the fourth quarter, Schaub drove the offense 89 yards in 11 plays. On the first play of the series, he avoided a safety on first down by tossing a pass in the flats to Slaton, who outran a defensive lineman for an 11-yard gain. Two plays later, Slaton rushed for 47 yards before Manning tackled him at the Chicago 29.

A 14-yard reception by Johnson set up Slaton's 15-yard touchdown run, but a holding call on right guard Mike Brisiel negated the score. On the next run by Slaton, he was tackled and fumbled after a one-yard run, but Kubiak challenged the call. Replays showed Slaton's elbow was down before the ball came loose, and officials overturned the call.

On third-and-14, Bears linebacker Nick Roach was penalized for holding, giving the Texans an automatic first down at the 14-yard line. Slaton capped the team’s second-consecutive 11-play series with a two-yard touchdown run to make the score 31-17 after Brown's extra point.

The Bears made things interesting by picking apart the Texans' prevent defense on an 11-play, 72-yard drive over 1:55. On fourth-and-one at the Houston 11, Orton dove forward for a first down at the two-minute warning. He moved the Bears to the one-yard line by finding running back Adrian Peterson open on a nine-yard screen pass.

Safety Eugene Wilson was injured on the play, resulting in a burned timeout for Houston. Once play was restored, Orton pushed his way over the goal line for a touchdown that made the score 31-23 with 1:29 left in the game.

But Gould’s onside kick was recovered by Walter at the Chicago 44, and Slaton preserved the win on his final carry of the game for five yards and a first down.

Class 319 dual-voltage electric multiple-unit (EMU) number 319383 built by BREL York in 1990 works 2E45 from Kentish Town to Sevenoaks on 15 October 2014 with 319 number 427 in front of it. From the start of the Govia Franchise (14 September 2014) 24% of Govia Thameslink Railway services were delayed between 12 October 2014 and the 8 November 2014. Between 9 November and 6 December 2014 this improved slightly with only 21.3% being delayed but a further 4% were cancelled. Govia attribute this to train failure of old and new rolling stock and infrastructure problems e.g. track circuit failure, while the watchdog London TravelWatch were also concerned about the lack of train drivers across the franchise. During the previous franchise First Capital Connect (FCC) had Alstoms TrainTracer on-board monitoring module added to the Train Control & Management System (TCMS) and Traction Control racks of all class 319s. This module monitors major components and reports data for developing faults and non-critical failures to a ground-based server for engineers to remotely analyse with maintenance management software and plan maintenance. GPS data collected also allows them to identify the precise location where a fault has occurred. Alstom claim that through this planned maintenance the amount of time trains are unavailable for use is reduced by 30%.

319383 was cascaded northwards to Northern Rail on 23 June 2015.

But Gould’s onside kick was recovered by Walter at the Chicago 44, and Slaton preserved the win on his final carry of the game for five yards and a first down.

www.cafranchiseopportunities.com/franchise-business Getting into a franchise business is, for the most part, just like getting into any other business. The great thing about a franchise is that it's proven; you know it works. Other businesses starting from scratch are more of a gamble.

The gas station is a product distribution franchise. The Wendy's quick service restaurant is a business-format franchise, as is the convenience store that is out of the picture frame. One of the c-store's products, a bbq pork sandwich, is advertised on the pumps.

One of a batch of 4 vehicles (531, 32, 33 34) purchased around 2002 as new and dedicated for this franchise. With a new fleet of dedicated open top Volvo B5TL with wright bodywork soon to be introduced, this will no doubt be the last season for this bus. I am sure that another operator will snap them up

Wilkins the Bakers origins lay in the early 1900s.

F Wilkins started out as a franchise holder for the Isaac and Co Dairy Company's bakery division and by 1911 had taken over Fippard and Sons bakery and shop at 192 Old Christchurch Rd on the corner of Glen Fern Rd [ now Pizza Express ].

By the early 1930s Wilkins had a string of local shops and a purpose built bakery at 62 Malmesbury Park Rd on the site of a former laundry.

By 1935 the business had been purchased by a Canadian businessman named W Garfield Weston who had taken over his father's bakery business and who was now expanding into Britain.

By 1937 he had acquired 15 bakery plants across the country which had been unified as 'Allied Bakeries', mass producing bread in large, modern baking factories.

Weston later founded Associated British Foods, incorporating a whole range of brands across the world and many household names in Britain including Ryvita who's main factory is in Poole.

The Wilkins factory at Malmesbury Park Rd was extended at various times over the years and by the 1970s was producing tens of thousands of loaves a day from two large production plants situated on the top floor of the main factory. The lines ran 24 hours a day, only closing for maintenance at 6am on Saturday morning before starting up again frst thing Sunday morning.

The loaves were sent via a conveyor system to the ground floor where they were sliced, bagged and despatched. Also on the ground floor was a confectionary department that produced bread rolls, doughnuts, sausage rolls, currant buns and other goods for the network of local shops that they still ran across Bournemouth, and for other customers.

They regularly produced over 2 million hot cross buns for the Easter market and also had a specialist cake decorating department that made and decorated cakes to order.

As well as producing for their own shops Wilkins also mass produced bread under various Allied Bakeries brands such as Sunblest, Allinson, Mighty White, Hi Bran, Betabake, Slimcea, Kingsmill and Hovis as well as supplying a lot of the major supermarkets.

The company employed up to 250 people at any one time across in house departments such as baking, machine operating, hygiene, drivers, maintenance engineers, mechanics, office staff and building maintenance, with many hundreds, and probably thousands, being employed over the years.

Until the early 1980s wages were still paid in cash with the money being delivered to site by an armoured van with each individual wage packet being made up in the main office block. An announcement was made over the tanoy for employees to remain inside the factory whilst the wages were being delivered. From 1983 wages began to be paid directly into employees bank accounts.

In the late 1980s the confectionary department closed along with the shops, and in 1994 it was announced that the bakery was to close down in two phases with production being transferred to large super bakeries in the London area. Production finally ceased with a second wave of redundancies in 1995.

The site remained as a distribution centre until 2007 with bread being delivered by lorry from other bakeries with the depot moving to the Ferndown Industrial Estate where it still operates.

The Malmesbury Park Rd premises were demolished in 2007 and replaced over the following 18 months by The Granary housing development that resulted in the creation of Chelsea Gardens and Wilkins Gardens.

Digimon Tamers (デジモンテイマーズ, Dejimon Teimāzu) is the third anime television series in the Digimon franchise, produced by Toei Animation. The series takes place in a new setting separate from the preceding series, Digimon Adventure and Digimon Adventure 02, where the characters utilize cards from the collectible card games. The series aired in Japan from April 1, 2001 to March 31, 2002.

An English-language version, produced by Saban Entertainment, aired in North America from September 1, 2001 to June 8, 2002 as the third season of Digimon: Digital Monsters.A manga adaptation of the series, by Yuen Wong Yu, was serialized from April to October 2004.

Brett Ratner ruined X-Men. Why was this guy, who directed the crappy Rush Hour movies, entrusted with a great major franchise like X-Men? Bryan Singer must be pulling his hair out.

It cost $210 million dollars to make the movie. How much of this was spent on the script? A dollar?

Don't read any further if you haven't seen the movie yet.

Xavier, Cyclops, and Jean Grey were killed off. Why? Cyclops' death wasn't even memorable.

Storm was left in charge. Are you F'ing kidding me? No offense to Halle Berry, but she was the weakest link in the two previous movies.

Beast was played by Kelsey Grammer. What?! He was too blue! It should have been toned down like what Bryan Singer did with the costumes in the first two movies. Plus, there was tension between Beast and Wolverine. Why? This made no sense and the audience was given no explanation for this.

And the stupid kid locked away on Alcatraz was lame. His storyline had no real conclusion. Throughout the whole movie, he just looks out the window like, "Whoa, it's a wild world out there. I'm gonna go back and play video games."

Juggernaut was miscast and dumber than I could have imagined.

Ben Foster's character Angel had zero depth. He just sprouted wings, puffed out his chest, and flew around a little bit. Was there a point in having him in the movie at all?

The showdown between Pyro and Iceman was a complete letdown. It was built up throughout the movie and fell flat. They didn't get creative with this showdown at all. Just a blast of fire from Pyro and a blast of cold from Iceman. Ooooh. I was hoping for a series of power tests between the two. Couldn't Iceman have tossed some icicles at Pyro, and in turn, Pyro could have thrown fire rings around Iceman? I didn't feel a big payoff when Iceman headbutted Pyro.

Wolverine is the heart and soul of X-Men. No matter where the story twists and turns, it should always snap back like a rubberband to Wolverine. He's the solid, go-to guy. Brett Ratner does not realize this. He strayed and treated Wolverine like a second-tier superhero.

Corny lines and cliches abounded throughout the whole movie and there were overexplanations aplenty. I hate when directors condescend to an audience.

Not even Ian McKellen could save this movie. And I love Ian McKellen. He's really growing on me. He was great as Gandalf in Lord of the Rings, Sir Leigh Teabing in The Da Vinci Code, and of course Magneto.

I only enjoyed two scenes. The first was when they went back a few years and you saw Xavier and Eric (Magneto) walking up to Jean Grey's house and knowing that these guys were friends at one time. It was nice to know that these two adversaries had a friendly history and mutual respect. That is what adds to a story, Mr. Ratner. The second scene I liked was the last scene in the movie with Ian McKellen at a chess table with metal chess pieces and he made one of them move slightly. A hint of a smile appeared on my noggin.

I think the creators of this movie should issue an apology to everyone, recall the movie completely, not release it on DVD, bring back Bryan Singer and pay him twice what he made for X2, and tell everybody to just forget about the third movie and wait 2 years for the next one. Only then will I be satisified.

More rants about this movie to come as I think of them.
