On May 14, 2016 the ceremony of the official handover of technical facilities was held at the Academy of State Border Services in the framework of the joint project on “Better coordination on the protection of the land border between Azerbaijan and Georgia”.
During the event, off-road and all-terrain vechicles, quadracycles, trucks, as well as IT equipment and other special technical facilities were provided to improve the technical capacities of the State Border Service.
The equipment will ensure the security of the border region covered by the project and will significantly contribute to the fight against trans-border crime.
It should be noted that this project is funded by the European Union, and is jointly implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the State Border Service.
The objectives of the Project is to improve the border management system, to strengthen the bilateral cooperation, to develop the integrated border management procedures and operations, as well as to provide technical support to pilot border points and relavant divisions.
In the framework of the project, experts from the border agencies of Austria, Latvia, Slovenia and Poland, experts from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Romania and the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) participated in trainings on strengthening of internal, interagency and international cooperation, as well as improvement of teaching methods and training techniques. Necessary measures have also been taken to improve the regulatory framework. In this regard, throughout the duration of the project, 65 employees of the State Border Service were involved in 12 events carried out in the Republic of Azerbaijan and beyond its borders.
I visited Matthew (who runs Saffron Frameworks) to interview him about frame building and more back in February. The interview will be online soon.
The second day of verandah work complete and the west and front decks are almost finished. The builder does good work - 15 March 2007
From one angle it looks like 2 x's and from another it's like two o's.
A subtle and modern way to say 'hugs and kisses'.
