This long abandoned northern Illinois farmhouse has made it to a new year, but its fragile state may mean this could be her last.....

Sting/Fragile

On and on the rain will fall

Like tears from a star like tears from a star

On and on the rain will say

How fragile we are how fragile we are...

A juvenile bearded reedling. A male youngster does not have his characteristic 'beard' yet

A rather large spider web on the front verandah of my house. For over a week now I have been carefully stepping to the left when leaving the house to avoid tearing it.

Apologize, I have very limited knowledge of butterflies but in Dutch the family name is probably "witje"

Sharing of some additional information would be much appreciated.

Cheers!

That is....:: ALL::

Dragonflies and their kin were our target last weekend, and initially we didn't find any of the larger ones. Some closer observation turned up quite a few damselflies, including this Fragile Forktail. Forest Park in St Louis, Missouri

Birdy - Older

I wish,that I was older

Old enough to be yours

And I wish,that I was wiser

Wise enough to be strong minded

To keep up with the words you say

That make me feel so young...

The last one of my pictures and tiny contribution, for the 2Lei, Stop Violence against Women exhibition.

@ Ludovico Einaudi will again accompany me on this picture. he is Italian as the people behind the exhibit. The little melody is named Andare, which means to go. To me it fits the theme very beautiful, though it is not always the easiest thing to do

Again a heartful thanks for allowing me to participate in this important annual remembrance to help women all over the world, who are abused one way or another.

Thank you Inara for your kind words to me! ♥

Thank you Doc and Megan for giving me a hand, in setting up my humble little scene ♥

Life is fragile with delicate edges, both light and dark, unfolding each day.

The Autumn fragility in Urbasa forest

Have a great weekend!

Thanks for all visits, comments, invites and faves!

Instead of throwing out some roses once they were 'past their best' I decided to put them in the airing cupboard to dry out. I think they are just as beautiful in their old age!

Thanks for all the lovely comments and favs on my images. They are very much appreciated.

More of the same shrub and flowers. They really do look so delicate.

One of my artworks for the past exhibition COLORS OF DARKNESS at Sinful Retreat.

The artworks are showed at my new Art Gallery THE EDGE

Thanks to my partner Eli Medier for his poem:

"This evening

end of May

it is still spring

If You existed Lord

I would ask you the why

of those thousand windows

But in the cold light of mercury

among the headlights

under a trapezoidal sky

I wished You were listening

I sang in despair

tonight Lord

I wish it were the last"

Macro photography is not my thing for sure. I never had the right gear to do it and to be honest when looking at other people's photo a landscape, a street photo or a portrait will catch my eye a lot more. However I respect how macro photography can reveal some mesmerizing details from things made either by nature or man while keeping the result very abstract. This would be my very first attempt in macro on a quite rainy fall day. I feel like everything clicked together for a nice result. The waterdrops from the mist, the light and obviously the fall colored backdrop.
