“The paradoxes of today are the prejudices of tomorrow, since the most benighted and the most deplorable prejudices have had their moment of novelty when fashion lent them its fragile grace.” (Marcel Proust)

Aparentemente frágil y sutil en las pequeñas contiendas, pero poderosa y fuerte en las grandes batallas.
Gotta se this one large really. The walk across the fields this morning revealed an astonishing landscape filled with lace-like ice crystals clinging to each and every blade of grass.
It was a chore trying to decide on which ones to photograph, Many were taken, but only this one seemed to express the magic fully. The snow was crisp and dry, but eventually quarter of an hour on my knees it started to melt through my trousers.
Since brass, nor stone, nor earth, nor boundless sea,
But sad mortality o’ersways their power,
How with this rage shall beauty hold a plea,
Whose action is no stronger than a flower?
O! how shall summer’s honey breath hold out,
Against the wrackful siege of battering days,
When rocks impregnable are not so stout,
Nor gates of steel so strong but Time decays?

Can be so beautiful.
There is a kind of beautiful irony to the way we peak in who we are in our most fragile states..
Like the world is balancing out the good and bad in ourselves.
Under pressure, we perform better,
With age comes wisdom, yet fragility.

I took this while in Tonbridge cemetary with my grandson (he lives across the road).
Life is fragile - cherish every day.
darling, time is playing its melodies
escrutiating, making you float around helplessly like a fragile little feather...
What's this urge of mine to live life a million miles per hour?
I'm just a tiny shell running back and forth to the shore.. washed off so easily and faster than I can run..

Taken on my day out with Kat White and James McManus in December. We had a fab day exploring Kat's and my home town and the surrounding area. I found this egg on the ground near Menangle Railway Station. There was no nest or Mumma bird nearby so assume it must have been stolen and dropped by a feathered egg thief.
If you describe a situation as fragile, you mean that it is weak or uncertain, and unlikely to be able to resist strong pressure or attack.
All along the drive in the Valley of Fire, David kept on exclaiming that he couldn’t believe how many wildflowers were in bloom. Apparently this happens very infrequently! While the white flowers were everywhere, they seemed to grow in small patches, which wasn’t perfect for photography but I was captivated by them anyway since they seemed symbolic of the fragility of life in the desert.
