My thoughts are still with the people of Christchurch a week on from the devastating earthquake, even more so after a chance encounter in the lift at our hospital this evening. We were going to visit my mother and shared the lift (elevator) with a young guy in a wheelchair nursing a broken leg, he mentioned that he was from Christchurch and had lost both his partner and child in the quake, it was very sobering!

Gently processed with flypapers.

While smelling gardenia blooms and working with some closeup photographs this tiny - very tiny - little friend appeared. Hats off to those of you who present those excellent damselfly and dragonfly images. It takes not only keen eyesight but mastery of the camera's settings. Fragile Forktail Damselfly - Morgan County, Alabama - 2017. Please give input if I have misidentified it.

You're lost little girl

You're lost little girl

You're lost

Tell me who

Are you?

I think that you know what to do

Impossible? Yes, but it's true

I think that you know what to do, yeah

I'm sure that you know what to do

You're lost little girl

You're lost little girl

You're lost

Tell me who

Are you?

I think that you know what to do

Impossible? Yes, but it's true

I think that you know what to do, girl

I'm sure that you know what to do

Braunschweig, an der Oker

Last April when I was in Finland, I was shown how to make a traditional ring from a strip of birchbark. Miraculously, I still have it, intact.

Here it is resting on a lump of Himalayan rock salt, a holder for a tea light.

A good looking very small moth with a funny name

"Hummingbird"

Humming, darting looking sweet, Oh' tiny bird I'd love to meet, a feathery bundle small and light, I glimpse you, an awesome sight, you really made my heart flutter, as far too quick for my Canon shutter.

Love & Peace everyone! 💓

This image is a little glass ornament, a hummingbird, it's small, break to wing tip measures 2.5 inches, so just falls within the 3 inches overall measurement requirements for MM, happy days.
