Tried some middle eastern-styled architecture this month. The towers are built around steering wheels for whoever's curious.

Yeah, I basically went full Ralf Langer here, but digital. Very happy with the result.

A dry wind whistled through the desert of Kader, burning Vosh's nostrils. The assassinations and torchings were growing across the capital. If these extremists weren't stopped, the kingdom would be torn apart. Yet each attack brought them closer to him.

My dear Uncle,

When I said I wanted someone else on this trip with me, I thought the humor of the gods was far less than it actually ended up being. I've encountered a troll of a man, named Bothwin . . . or something like that. And I'll have you know that he is completely appalling in every way. Far be it from me to judge another soul by how they look, but if he isn't the worst man I've ever encountered, than I don't know who is. He offered to make stew as we were heading back from the border- yes, he is tagging along with me- and it was truly the worst thing I've ever tasted. Nothing like that wonderful soup you prepare every weekend, Uncle. He says he's searching for something 'more'. More what? You can't have more if you have nothing to begin with. He keeps talking about 'making his mark' on the Kingdom. The absurdity of this man! He carries a silly little book with him and writes down anything that catches his eye. 'The Archives will be flowing with knowledge,' he constantly utters. I was unaware Isloriel had any 'Archives'. I (or should I say, we) will be reaching Elkmire very shortly, and then I shall send these letters off. Rather funny, that I write to you so consistently without reply. I wonder, do you even bother reading these? Or are you so swept up in the importance of your work that you have not the time for your poor, scrabbling nephew? Either way, I do still look forward to seeing you, Uncle.

Your nephew, Aribaine

Finally. It took about three months, but here's my second FK build. I'm pretty happy with it, especially the grassy area. The rockwork could use a second color, but I had been working on this for so long that I just wanted to wrap it up. I don't think there's anything else to say. Thanks for looking. :)

"Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you." Ephesians 4:32

It was the middle of the afternoon when the dwarves entered Camp Uskitan. Túrin knew the tension was strong between the men and the dwarves, but he didn’t think it would go this far.

Build for Fractured Kingdoms monthly challenge

Story:

“A larger swath of Islorian territory is now under Alborne's control, but the victory is short-lived. Navies of Isloriel and another kingdom launch assaults on Farencrest and Lonsere.”

Challenge:

“Most of your army and Celestean soldiers are too far into Isloriel to be of help, so join the common citizens and your navy as they take up arms to defend your capital.”

Hope you like it :)

This is my character intro for @fractured_kingdoms . You can read the story on the first post I made. This build has been a true joy and pain to put together. At the beginning of the month I ordered a bunch of white leaves to make a snowy pine. It is now the end of the month and the parts are no where to be found. I hope the edit my dad and I were able to make works. I had fun exploring these techniques further and I can’t wait to build more for #fracturedkingdoms . Thanks to @LegoModularFan for all the help on the build!

News of the Albornian Invasion had shaken Drynoth's Bane to its core. The bandit clan was working like mad to gather supplies and weapons to join the fight. Cora was naturally given the task of baking the bread and preparing the rations. Every bone in her body ached for battle, for vengeance. She would not stay on the side lines any longer.

She had left her coat that night, any extra sound would give her away for sure. The frigid air stabbed at her skin as she quietly trudged towards the main building. In a second she had climbed to the roof and peered in the gap between shingles. Her fingers stung as she touched the icy roof. She had risked her life all those months ago to place this passage here and it certainly came in handy.

“I've seen 6 or 7 seven come….. north east,” It was impossible to make out the words the men were saying over all the rushing wind outside. Delicately, she climbed through the icy hole and balanced upon the timber planks supporting the roof.

“Our men are restless sir, they don't know what’s going…,” “ Silence!” Darrion exclaimed. “The men must not know until it is time. Fetch a quill and parchment will you Henry.” As the man named Henry pulled them out Darrion began speaking. “Lord Ruler Elduin Turbor,” the men gasped as these words left his mouth. It was hard for Cora to make out their faces but from this angle it seemed like they were immediately silenced by Darrion's deathly glare. “This is the feared Darrion of Drynoth’s Bane,” he continued, “we are men of action and both after the same goal,” he ended each phrase with a pause to allow Henry to furiously scrawl the words onto the parchment. “I have 500 well trained men to donate to thy cause. I swear my sword and honor to thee. For in return that you grant unto me the right of the Ruler of Melikroth under thy Jurisdiction,” Every word hit Cora straight in the chest, Drynoth’s Bane teaming with Alborne to invade Melikroth? The men seemed just as dumbfounded as she was. “You mean to really side with that…” the man was cut off once again as Darrion began to resume the terms. Cora’ s raging emotions drowned out his words as she contemplated this new development. What would she do? There was no way she would fight for the Albornians, after what they did to her homeland. Thoughts of home filled Cora's heart with sorrow and her vision became cloudy as a tear fell across her face and made its way to the floor. The floor right in front of Darrion.

Looking up he saw her there with tears welling in her eyes. “Well looks like the cat crawled out of bed,” he said devilishly. Adrenaline coursed through Cora's body as she bolted for the crack in the roof. The screams of the men seemed to fade as she fled into the frozen forest.

Thanks for reading! This is my second build for FracturedKingdoms and I'm really excited to develop this character. I’d like to give a special thanks to @legoModularFan for all his help on the wips and I highly recommend you check out all the other FK builds.

Jayon was the youngest son of an old blacksmith. He lost his family after the bandits attacked their workshop and after this happened he began his way to become the greatest warrior in the world. And this is his story…

An icy tear fell like a piercing shard on Cora’s face. But she didn’t feel a thing. The wind and snow beat at her, stealing warmth from her thick leather coat. But she felt nothing. Was it sadness? Is this what that felt like?

Cora was tasked by Darrion of Drynoth’s Bane to investigate a threat to the clan. Word had spread of raiders rampaging the north. This was Cora’s first mission alone. But now, standing there a top the cliff, she felt more alone than ever.

Life hadn’t been kind to Cora. At a young age she was sold into slavery to the ruthless Noble, Grimold. There she was hardened more than any little girl should be and yet she withstood.

As things began to look up for Cora her life changed forever. Drynoth’s Bane had crept into Grimold Keep, robbing and plundering supplies. Cora was the only slave that survived the journey south.

She learned how to live amongst men. How to hide, how to be useful, how to kill.

The race of men weren’t allowed this far north, but Darrion saw something special in Cora. Her stealth had kept her alive this long and would be useful for this mission. He needed someone to break through the border and spy on some mysterious raiders. Drynoth’s Bane was the only clan that was allowed to raid Melikroth. He would see that these pity bandits were terminated.

There Cora stood. Motionless as the howling wind sliced through her bones. For the first time in her life she felt sad. Grimold Keep had been burned to the ground. Charred and splintered. She could still make out the bodies. She knew that somewhere in the wreck lay the aged body of her dear friend, her only friend. Cora had no place to call home anymore. No place to go back to. No purpose.

Hey! Thanks for reading! This is my intro into @fractured_kingdoms . This took me a long time to build and I’d like thank my dad for the masterful editing. I hope you enjoy!

The Albornian army has exited the tunnel into the Elkmire and is beginning their march northward through the swampy, forested mess. They have no idea of the trap that lays in store for them…

Teo's heart was pounding as he set foot In a whole new world. He's never been out of Alborne! The thought would have never crossed his mind. it wasn't to long ago he and his brother were working at the docks and just received news of a tunnel being made connecting the two world's. Now he's here marching into a thick swampyforest, unsure what lies ahead.

Introduction build for Fractured Kingdoms. Nezari was oldest daughter of famous jeweler and lived with her family near southern border of Alborne. Before she managed to reach adulthood her town was raided by barbarian tribe from the mountains, her family killed and all belongings stolen. She survived barely by hiding in a collapsed barn. Stripped of all honours and wealth she needed to steal food and hide on the streets of Lonsere. Nezari never talks about this period of her life, only when mentioning how she joined mercenary group called Iron Eagles, which she serves since then.

Fractured Kingdoms Monthly Challenge December 2021

There is a time of the year, where people of all races puts aside their differences, grudges and allegiances, to celebrate Valterra. Each year at that time both friends and foes unites for that one day as citizens of the Kingdoms. Everyone exchange good wishes, presents, and spend the evening together, regards of who they are.

Ways to celebrate Valterra differs depending of the status, but for most common folk there's a custom to meet in the open ground and organise a campfire meeting, where everyone can exchange stories and presents. For that one day everyone forgets about all conflicts, withdraw their weapons and focuses on creating friendly atmosphere for everyone, to breathe a spark of enjoyment into others life.

It is indeed a magical day.
