Here is the second Flame in the series of Christmas Fractals. I have created with Jwildfire 3.0 and have been inspired by this tutorial that I tweaked:

Original fractal, no alterations.
For the pedantic, this is not in any way supposed to be factual. It's the most horrible gaudy fractal I've ever created & when I look at it the only title I that comes to mind is El Nino - go here to read about that www.gma.org/surfing/weather/elnino.html
Playing around with the bailout settings using the magnetic formula with two orbit traps in Jux Fractal. Low bailout is set at 0.58 and the high bailout is 0.332. For this one I chose to fill the inner shape using the orbit traps. One is set to star 4 with setting modifications to create my 5 point star and the loter is set to leaf 1 to create the fanning palm frond. The small amount of exterior showing inside the oval creates the opal like objects.

Fractals created in Tierazon & Apophysis, played with in Photoshop.
No photos, all done in pc software, thanks to the fractal magicians & program designers who have put these magic tools in our hands.
Thankyou for the visit.
This Tierazon Fractal puts me in mind of an Archimedes Screw, so.... From Wikipedia....
Archimedes' screw, the Archimedes screw, the Archimedean screw or the screwpump is a machine historically used for transferring water from a low-lying body of water into irrigation ditches. It was one of several inventions and discoveries traditionally attributed to Archimedes in the 3rd century BC.
