Yep, that`s correct, this MAN B&W 9L 58/64 fourstroke engine produces over 17.000 horsepower (12.600 kW`s). The funny thing is, you can actually conversate while it is running unlike certain medium- or highspeed engines. It is 12,26 mtr long, 4,96mtr high and weighs 208 metric ton (208.000kg) empty. It`s has a bore (pistondiameter) of 580mm and runs 428rpm. This is half of what your cars runs on idle speed.
