An array of writing equipment,the fountain pen takes me back to my school days,before biro's were allowed.I can remember ink everywhere in my exercise books and blotting paper in hand.

Unter der obigen Überschrift sollte eine Wort-Bild-Kombination erstellt werden. Das hier ist meine Handschrift - also in diesem Falle - die der Fotografin ;-)

This morning I got a flicker mail showing a photo from Seton Droppers suggesting I write this out. He had got it from someone who had ... I tracked it down to here, a photo taken by tootdood who started it a week ago.

The impedimenta you see on the table is what I need to write a letter with! (With the exception of the calculator which just crept in.) I often need a glue stick too as the envelopes I've got don't stick down very well :-(

I always like to have a fountain pen loaded with green ink. Nothing like adding a touch of verdure to one's correspondence ...

17th March 2012, four years after I took it, and this has been posted at the top of the Flickr Blog, so activity has suddenly hit the roof !

Am I one of the 'Green Ink Brigade'? Well I do write letters to my daughter and I love this green ink but ...

I try to avoid long-windedness, am not *that* eccentric and have never signed off with 'disgusted from Tunbridge Wells' (or anywhere else for that matter)!'

So, no. I may be getting older, a bit more intolerant and definitely more opiniated but, no, I've not reached my peak yet.

Give me time ...

I try to never sketch on the back of a page that already has a sketch on it. I had one show where I had my sketch book out for show and I ended up selling 6 or 7 sketches

HMM!!

Hacia mucho tiempo que no pasaba un sábado Santo en mi pueblo. Suelo escapar de la Semana Santa como los venecianos del carnaval. En fin que ya ya que estoy hagamos un poco de patria: Desde que construyeron el puente nuevo, el paseo alrededor de la ciudad amplia el skyline tradicional con la catedral en la esquina oeste a casi 1km mas que recomendable de visitar. Estilográfica Noodler's Ink y tinta carbon Ink con acuarela sobre papel Saunders Waterford grano fino.

... Fairy. This little fairy sits on a shelf in the living room for most of the year, but at Christmas she gets to sit beside the tree. I think she enjoys the change of scenery.

Varios compañeros de Facebook andan haciendo fotos muy majas con una óptica rusa muy resultona: la Helios 44-2. Tengo uno desde hace ya una temporada. También algún Jupiter , Nikon AF, Pentakon, de esos que ahora se apellidan Monster-bokeh. La verdad es que ofrecen un desenfoque precioso, muy cremoso y con transiciones muy suaves. Los usaba más en macro, pero ya hace mucho tiempo que no salen de su caja de Peli.

Ayer andaba probando una nueva pluma, posiblemente la que utilice para firmar mis nuevos libros. Decidí hacer alguna foto para un foro de ese tema en el que participo. Mientras montaba el set me acordé de las fotos de Laura García (LauriPhoto) y de David Melchor Díaz y me animé a salir un poco del realismo que suele acompañarme. Además siempre es bueno inspirarse un poco en las fotos que vemos y que nos gustan.

Son dos tomas. En la primera a f/2 con un foco led a través de un difusor de 25 cm, iluminé un fondo de goma eva con purpurina. En la segunda, a f/11, iluminé la estilográfica con luz más lateral.
