For Macro Mondays this week, I have shot SOME of the rusty things I have collected on my walks. I have Eagle Eyes for rust and have a prodigious collection of bottlecaps, washers, hunks of rusty steel left behind when SOME cars pull out of parking spots! I just love it. I am very much a WabiSabi girl and do not mind at ALL being reminded of the impermanence of everything!! HMM
Thanks so very much to everyone who faved and commented on my rusty photo. There are soo many very cool photos this week . I am so pleased to have been in explore this week. Thanks again! Hmm
Put up here on Flickr with her permission. She has a magic touch and has helped make our whole apartment a lot like this. Thank you Maryann!!

this intact bird wing was lying on the ground in front of the abbey in ruins, just waiting for me to pick it up and take it back home with me so that it could make its way into my photos. and so here it is...
cette aile entière, intacte, m'attendait devant l'abbaye, attendant que je l'amène chez moi pour se trouver dans mes photos. et voilà...

Artwork by Jack Monaghan

To begin with I didn't see the magic in this one but it quickly got under my skin. The punched metal behind the layers of burnt wood reflects light bringing it to my attention more often than I expected. The old material glued around the edge is from some old furniture. So many stories that material could tell!
And then the burnt holes in the wood made me question how the layers had been made. I had to ask and now can't remember the answer exactly but embers were involved!
This artwork is currently for sale at Yoyo in Wellington and online via this link.
Thanks so much for all your encouraging comments, always much appreciated. Have a wonderful day!
These blue shoes seem to suit me well
When I feel like hell
As I do now that you're gone
Lost and lonely since you stopped carin'
I've been wearing my new shoes
I've been wearing my blue shoes
You and I made the perfect pair
It don't seem fair
I loved you more than you know
Sorry I'm in such a sorry state
But while I wait for some good news
I'll be wearing my blue shoes
Don't feel like walking strong
Shufflin' along on my way home
Trudgin' down that shopping street
Where we used to meet
But I ain't buying
I'm wearing my blue shoes and crying
These blue shoes seem to suit my soul
Since you shot that hole
Shot that hole in my heart
And if I wind up on the sidewalk bleeding
I won't be needing my new shoes
Won't be needing my blue shoes
These blue shoes seem to suit me well
When I feel like hell
As I do now that you're gone
Lost and lonely since you stopped caring
I've been wearing my new shoes

i don't really know (remember) from which magazine or weekly that i cropped this from nor have any idea of who wrote it or when. I would imagine that it was either in the NME; Melody Maker; or maybe even Rolling Stone... It probably dates from around the early 80s -going by the other clippings that were filed alongside it. If anybody knows who wrote this; let me know.
