Part of a handful of photos forgotten by the digital photo kiosk at Target.

One of a series of Iron Horses,

this piece was later welded to a very large iron wheel.

It was built in 1988 and after many exhibions throughout the country, now stands outside my garden gate

Curled copper patinaed green, embellished with clean copper, sterling silver brass, vintage chain and a facetted amethyst stone...this is one bauble to bring summer with you wherever you go!

Trash to treasure swap on swapbot. Altered recycled masonite plaque, rusty car parts, found metal bits, coconut Hershey's kisses wrappers.

A pair of errings made from scrap copper and brass.

(framed on white stretched artist board)

4 inch square (10cm square)

Found underneath the first floor stairway (ceiling of the basement stairway.)

This is a very fragile piece of paper. Obviously not the sort of paper blueprints are typically made with. It looks to me like this may be a design for a tower made of toy blocks, perhaps. Anyone know better?

Handmade found object pendant. Made from tin for the wings,a rusty washer, a brass gear, vintage photo and a rollerskate. Brass chain is 24" long.

LOST

my brother, forever lost

without you

This piece was made in Carmen Haase's Don't Box Me In Altered Art Attack at Shake Rag Alley in the spring of 2010. It is an anti-war statement about a woman who sent her man off to WWI. She waited but he never returned. Carmen gave us the sewing machine drawer, the spindles, the show forms, the bottle and a grab bag of goodies. I brought the arms, the wings and the image. Later at home I added the graveyard figures and the chicken (barbed) wire.

found in a book donated for my library's book sale.

There is a magic and harmony of recycling found objects then sewing them onto my handmade paper to create a relaxing but dynamic collage. As i was working on it I felt a sense of gentle balance between the process and the outcome.

This piece is an Original 8" X 11" made on handmade paper that I made myself in my studio using cotton and abaca fibers. It is internally sized and also gently covered with a fine coating of micro-Crystalline wax to protect the surface and enhance the pastel color.
