On January 9, 2016, I was in Florida, on behalf of two groups I co-founded, Close Guantánamo and We Stand With Shaker, for a protest outside the headquarters of SouthCom -- US Southern Command -- which oversees the prison at Guantánamo Bay, organized by an enthusiastic group of young people campaigning as POWIR (People's Opposition to War, Imperialism, and Racism). SouthCom HQ is in Doral, just outside Miami, and I took this photo, at our rally outside the gates of Southcom HQ, of Medea Benjamin of CODEPINK addressing the crowd. On her left is Tighe barry, also of CODEPINK. I then flew to Washington, D.C., for a protest outside the White House on January 11, the 14th anniversary of the opening of Guantánamo.

I have an intense love for found photos of people and their pets!
Part of a large batch of vintage negatives I purchased at an estate sale. They seem to be mostly NJ, 1930s and 1940s. If you recognize a building, please comment and let me know where it is.
The start of a new batch. Most of these slides are in unbranded and undated frames, and there are also a few in Orwo frames. I can't identify this one, and neither can Google Image Search.
I recently purchased a bag of negatives at an estate sale. Most are WW2 era photos taken in Germany. I'll add more information as I'm able to identify locations.
I found this reminder last week.
They wrote on the list........
dishwasher on
garbage out the front
heat down
garbage upstairs
pills
dog- lease & toys
Found 126-format Kodachrome slide dated September 1967 showing a family group sat on a bench in the garden. Obviously taken at the same time as Found Slide - 1055 which I uploaded several months ago.
This is a field where trailer parks all used to be hooked up to gas meters that can still be seen. The grass has taken over the cement foundations and now the only proof of the town is the left behind meters and air conditioners.
