I just need to trim threads, trim it down, and bind...however I'm beginning to feel Island Quilts @tasqg deadlines approaching, so it might be put aside until I at least have my part of a group quilt finished. This quilt top was started in a @lorena_in_syd workshop almost 3 years ago. 😣 It was put aside until a month or so ago when I decided I wanted to have some free motion fun. I've just done whatever design I feel like, so it has lots of my favourites : spirals, feathers, and miscellaneous whatevers.

Now I just need to make it into something... a cushion perhaps?? Pattern from shape-moth.blogspot.co.uk/2013/03/forest-qal-comming-soon....
I printed out the pattern a bit smaller than I had intended but tried it out anyway. I don't think I could make your entire quilt like this, but I am in love with these teeny tiny geese. What do you think partner?
This cushion is made using our latest foundation pieced design Mixed up and muddled up. It features fabrics from the latest Cotton + Steel ranges. Crazy quilted with Aurifil for the finishing touch.

Dear Partner,
I hope you like what I have going so far. The quilt top is finished, now all I have to do is figure out how in the world to quilt this thing. Don't look super close, a couple of seams didn't line up exactly right but for my first major paper piecing project I was pleased. I hope you are too!
Another FAB pattern by Kristy @ Quiet Play. A cupboard full of fabric, a stash basket and a stack of books - every quilters dream!! Selvages used for two of the books... however, they are upside down books!!
One of two blocks I made for the Strawberry Fields Forever friendship quilt 20 of us made for Kerry. Penny (sewtakeahike here on Flickr) organized us and made the quilt (masterfully)! You can read Kerry's lovely post about the quilt, and see the whole thing, here:

3.75" wide... Foundation paper pieced this with the pattern from Patchwork Tsushin #176, though I hand quilted mine and fussy cut the windows.

Finally finished! I'm so sorry for the delay partner, and I do hope that it fits your home or sewing space!
I think it would look great as a table runner actually!
Finally got around to making a dumpling with the free tutorial from Michelle, and I'm so glad I did. It's sooooo fun to sew! Here's the tute:

To jazz up the front, I made what I call a "Tamiko block," one made using the pattern posted by Tamiko, aka Strawberrylicious here on Flickr (www.flickr.com/photos/18297013@N00/). It's here: patchworknotes.blogspot.com/2011/11/do-you-tell-people-th...)
Focal fabric is from an OOP Kumiko Fujita cheater print that I bought from Ayumi (www.etsy.com/shop/ayumills?ref=ss_profile). I cut up the little squares and used them for the paper pieced block. Pezzy around that, then a red wine-colored solid.

It might seem silly to "need" a pattern to piece such a tiny item, but I found it very helpful for placing my fussy cut "just so." Here's the link to the pattern. Hope it's self-explanatory. drive.google.com/file/d/0B_h7Yxv8QzdfU1dtb0tIQy1MbXc/edit...
Had so much fun making this foundation paper pieced needle book! Finished at 3" w. X 3 1/2" t. Hand quilted, though it could easily have been machine quilted. Inside is a vintage print. Front and back are pieced separately, then "bridged) with a little "spine" of fabric. If you make one, hope you'll come back here and share the link! If you put the link inside these, [ ], a thumbnail of your photo will show in your comments :)
Pouch + inset zipper= love! Been dying to learn that technique for zippers, so I taught myself using The Bag Making Bible.
Paper pieced the letters with a super easy, inexpensive pattern by Rumi (link below). Each letter block is 3" finished. She has lots of great patterns and is a sweetie.

I'm glad that I stumbled upon this great tutorial: www.michaelannmade.com/2015/06/foundation-paper-piecing-c... .
Thank you for sharing, Michael Ann!
Think I'll add a low volume border and make it into a table topper. Foundation paper pieced using a pattern from Kumiko Fujita's long OOP and VHTF book Patchwork Patterns 318. Finished size 12".
for @dontcallmebetsy for the #weebee. 4.5" of pure fun :) and, yes, a seam ripper was involved. A lot. Lol.

Pattern is the traditional friendship block. Here's a tutorial for a pillow made with it by Kerry:

The moment I saw this block pattern, I thought, "A school for kerchief girls!!!!!" Pattern is from Kumiko Fujita's wonderful book, Patchwork Patterns 318. Unfortunately, the book is almost impossible to find, except occasionally on Amazon Japan, and it's terribly expensive.
This block is for The Wee Bee, which is a closed swap group (sorry!), but you can view the photos here: www.flickr.com/groups/theweebee/
Lovingly made for Wynn and her sweet little baby (www.flickr.com/photos/zakkaart/8412971855/in/photostream)! The ducky pattern is from Kumiko Fujita's book Patchwork Patterns 318. Paper pieced, of course. Duck block is 4". Hand quilted with sashiko thread, though the stitches aren't very noticeable in this photo. Bib pattern is by jcasa, a wonderful pattern!
