Right in front of my nose, huge buildings, occupied by hundreds of families.
Downtown San Paulo, Brazil.
Few blocks from the City Hall, the Stock Exchange, the Central Bank among so many other fundamental, worthy and basic institutions.
In just one of the buildings, 475 families occupies 27 unfinished floors.
Kids play and run.
Clotheslines on the outside of the building, without any protection from falling down and in front of the entire city.
Windows, with breathtaking views, of one of the biggest and most populated cities on the Planet, made of compensated wood or sticks, even at the 27th floor.
People that use strength and organization to impose their reality, to a society that doesn’t care to listen.

A luz do sul da Ibéria é única, pelo menos eu achei. E um efeito peculiar é o das sombras, acho que por ser inverno, sol baixo, e cidades antigas de vielas estreitas, as sobras intensas eram presença constante, ocultado e revelando, esfriando... pareciam sombras de outros tempos, são lugares onde se vive há muito tempo, trazem a solidão do velho mundo, de incontáveis guerras travadas, de rancores, de solidão, mas também paz, tranquilidade, um ritmo diferente da metrópole onde vivo, com sua pressa e produtividade desesperadas, ritmo ao qual me acostumei, mais ainda, ritmo dentro do qual me formei. Sombras de tristeza e paz, sombras antigas, sombras caprichosas que parecem saber esconder. "antes fosses, ó triste sombra minha,
como a sombra pacífica os montes;
sombra profunda e grave, que se alonga,
conforme o sol declina, e se avizinha
a noite dos sombrios horizontes,
num alvorar de paz e solidão..."
