Fort Tejon in California is a former United States Army outpost that was intermittently active from 1854 to 1864. It is located in the Tejon Pass along Interstate 5 in Kern County. It is now a California State Historic Park. The photo is of the barracks and the commanding officer's quarters.

Considered to be one of the oldest settlements in the state of Nevada, the fort is where Morman Missionaries set up camp along the Las Vegas Creek in 1855. The site is now a Nevada State Historic Park.

Fort Mahon is a sea fort by the commune of Ambleteuse in the Pas-de-Calais, northern France. The fort was built at the end of the 17th century by the military architect Vauban on the orders of Louis XIV to defend the port in the estuary of the Slack. It was designated a Monument historique in the 1960s (wikipedia).

The centerpiece of the Fort Frederick State Park is a unique stone fort that served as Maryland’s frontier defense during the French and Indian War. Built in 1756, the fort's stone wall and two barracks have been restored to their 1758 appearance.

Now days they are using it for movie sets like Julius Caesar, Gladiator, Troy and Agora. The public is not allowed inside.
