Looking E from approach to Clark Bridge near SW corner of new Witherpoon Street parking garage.
In foreground, formwork for top floor is in place.
Wire mesh and reinforcing steel bar (rebar) have been placed on top of (and in the gaps between) the forms to provide tensile strength to the floor. This is an example of a post-tensioned slab.
It looks like PVC electrical conduit will be embedded in the concrete to provide power to the ceiling lights of the floor below this one.
[As of 2016, some of the ceiling lights appear to be served by embedded conduit, while others have conduit running along the surface of the ceiling.].
In middle distance, a concrete pump (at right) is supplying fresh concrete to another section of the top floor.

This image was scanned from the original in an album entrusted to the Coalfields Local History Association based at the Sir Edgeworth David Memorial Museum at Abermain by Hydro Kurri Kurri Pty Ltd.
Unfortunately, the aluminium plant finally closed in October 2012. In the words of the Australian Aluminium Council Ltd:
"The Kurri Kurri aluminium smelter began operation in 1969 and was acquired by Hydro, a member of Hydro Aluminium Group based in Norway, in 2002.
Hydro Aluminium produced various types of ingots which are used to produce a vast range of products, including roofing materials, foil, truck bodies, boats, doors, windows, commercial shopfronts, cables, tubing and many others.
Hydro Aluminium invested $40 million to upgrade the last remaining side-worked prebake technology in Australia. This upgrade was completed in November 2005 and aimed to significantly reduce emissions and increase production capacity by 6,800 tonnes per annum.
The Kurri Kurri aluminium smelter closed in 2012."

S and F Concrete installed formwork and reinforcing steel, also called rebar, for the first foundation concrete placement for the new Integrated Sciences Complex (ISC).
The concrete was poured atop the clustered piles and rebar to form caps. Concrete was also placed to form the base wall of the grade beam foundation. Concrete trucks joined the mix of excavators, backhoes, and pile and reinforcing steel delivery trucks on the ISC site.
