Form follows function is a principle that architects and designs of products (and services) often use to make fulfill their plans and reach their goals. Very often in nature and in human-made work the elegant solution is also the most effective (result) or efficient (process) solution. In this photo of a relatively new utility pole the curving lines in parallel function well at connection one point to the other. But at the same time, the form has a kind of beauty, as well.
