Somewhere outside the town, sometimes you can still find places worth saving from oblivion.

The last of my Craigendoran pier series from November last year. Multiple long exposures at sunset with a clear sky produced great results. This final image the clouds starting to turn red. I hope everyone has a good week. I appreciate any favourites and comments.

Went down to Dumfries and Galloway last weekend for a little wildlife photography. My session didn’t start till 4pm so I took some time to head down to Balcary Bay, near Drundrennan for some long exposure shots of the shore. I hope you have a good weekend.

Como es tradición siempre que voy a Valencia a parte de tomarme una horchata en la Alboraya :) me paso por la Ciudad de las Artes y de las Ciencias a ver el atardecer.
Espero que os guste.

Slightly different result as this photo was taken 5 minutes after the previous one. This image has more pink complexion to the sunset. I hope everyone has a good weekend
Another at my favourite local place for images of Loch Lomond. Had a nice opportunity mid sunset to get this silvery milky shot of some submerged trees. Continuing to be impressed with my new firecrest 13 stop filter from Formatt Hitech. I also liked the pinky faint sunset behind the trees. Have a good weekend.

Went back to my spot at Loch Lomond this evening. I’d been there earlier last week to get this shot however the image was slightly out of focus. I liked the way this turned out and love my new firecrest 13 stop. Have a peaceful weekend.

Took this down at Loch Lomond a few nights ago, it’s a pier that runs adjacent to the Maid of the Loch paddle steamer which is currently undergoing a refit. A nice calm winters night and long exposure always go well together.

"Man, schmaidt! Jetzt lass doch endlich mal diesen Schwarz-Weiß-Ästhetik-Scheiß"
Was passiert denn da?

Founded in the thirteenth century, The most spectacular and iconic castle in the Scottish highlands. Situated an island at the point where three sea lochs meet, and surrounded with stunning mountain backdrops this place is absolutely magical.

This little hidden gem sits about 2 miles away from the iconic Fanad Lighthouse. Public access was removed last year causing fury for many people. With not a person to be seen, I took my chance for a quick shot, I know I maybe shouldn't of but having taken about a 3 hour round trip and being a stones throw away from it I felt i would of been really disappointed if I didn't try for an image.
Standing at an impressive 150 ft tall. The arch is a reminder of the power of the ocean as it carves its way through the solid rock. Experts believe that one day the the entire roof of the arch will collapse leaving two sea stacks for people to ponder for generations

Another shot from Craigendoran Pier at the end of last year. A gloriously clear day allowed for some nice sunset exposures, looking out towards the River Clyde across from Greenock and Largs.

Captured during a foggy morning with this abandoned old pier taking on a ghostly appearance . Their are one or two seagulls further into the image on the pier.

Having visited this beautiful old pier 2 weeks ago in the hope of catching a really high tide and with many other failed attempts I finally managed to see & shoot it tonight.
I have to thank a lovely guy called Mark who had seen my post a few weeks back and had dropped me a message on Facebook giving me the heads up that the tide would be abnormally high today. He wasn't wrong, the highest I have ever seen here by a long way.

Situated on a small rocky island in Anglesey overlooking the Irish Sea, South Stack was one of the iconic locations I just had to visit on my trip to North Wales. I arrived here on my first night hoping for a sunset but with a cloudless sky and with insane winds that I couldn't stand up straight meant it almost impossible to get a shot i was happy with. Only there for three nights we decided to give it an other go on our last night. This time we got better conditions pretty much no wind which meant I could sit on the cliff top and enjoy this incredible view.
