Skeleton Fork-Fern, probably Psilotum nudum, is leafless and flowerless. Generally found growing in rock crevices. It just popped up in the garden. Como NSW Australia, April 2012.
According to Les Robinson in Field guide to the native plants of Sydney, Psilopsida are direct descendants of the earliest land plants, and relatives of these were around 400 million years ago. I guess after such a long time, they probably consider that my front garden is as good as anywhere.
The bike was hit by a car (slow moving car hit the right front at 90 degree angle) about a month ago. Took it to the shop and was assured by the staff that the bike would only need two new wheels and cranks. Well, I picked up the bike today and was impressed with the nice new Salsa Gordo rims but after just a couple minutes of riding it became apparent that something was wrong. The bike which used to be very stable (was even able to ride no hands!) now wanted to pull off to the left if I didn`t hold on firmly with both hands.
On closer inspection, standing over the front fork I could see that the front fork was bent - only 2 -3mm perhaps, but definitely enough to effect the ride. What`s more, I noticed it is even worse with weight on the back, essentially making this cargo bike useless. Now I have to bring it back to the shop and hopefully won`t have to fight the driver`s insurance company. What a PITA!

Thanks to everyone who views this photo, adds a note, leaves a comment and of course BIG thanks to anyone who chooses to favourite my photo .... thanks to you all.
The entire fork was chrome plated although only the lower portion was pre-polished and left exposed after painting.
Lightweight tapered gauge Reynolds 531 oval fork blades and 531 steering tube (25 mm. outer diameter with inner diameter for a 22.0mm French stem).
Seat tube of this bike frame measures 58cm. (center-to-center). Length of this steering tube measured from the base of the crown race band is 192mm. Head tube on the bike is 159mm. (a small amount may have been removed by facing the lug edges). This allows plenty of room for any headset and also for a center-pull brake cable hanger.

Photos from our daughter's first birthday. As blogged about on Aesthetic Outburst (post date: 10.17.10).
These were shot and made the bike steer heavily. I never knew as I had no prior reference.
58570 Km on the counter now. 3170 kilometers driven in 2022 so far.

Fork Run in the Allegheny National Forest in Forest County PA Taken while hiking upstream and checking hemlock trees for hemlock wooly adelgid, an insect that has killed much of the hemlock population in the Appalachian Region. It has been confirmed in the ANF and Allegany State Park in New York.
"Another turning point;
a fOrk stuck in the road.
Time grabs you by the wrist;
directs you where to go.
So make the best of this test
and don't ask why.
It's not a question
but a lesson learned in time."-Green day
We went to visit a friend's shop and Noah got to drive the fork lift....needless to say he was on cloud 9!

It's progressing! parts for custom TT fork. I really would like thank The Big Heart Italian cycling family about these hard to find parts.
I've been using a very nice fork jig that has been a real bear to adjust. I decided I wanted a 1-key jig that could be adjusted without having to access the underside. The adjustable sections are keyed in machined slots in the flats. The steerer block fits into a squared cut in the top part of the tube and sits with a machined flat. Skip welded to hold it in place. I'll just tack on a hold-down and she'll be ready to roll.
