an old fork with suede, wire and beads....

Scientific name Tyrannus savana. Designed and folded by myself, James Lucas. This composition implements a colour change for the raw edges which form the feet, head, and long tail feathers (my first attempt was simply painted to simulate colour change).

This is a shot of the beautiful Laurel Fork Falls or Laurel Falls as I have seen it named, just over the border in TN right off the Appalachian trail. I have been wanting to visit this falls for some time and finally made a point to get out there the last time I was staying in Roan Mountain.

It is really a very picturesque falls with some great surroundings. I definitely plan on returning again when I have some more time and hopefully some more water flow as I have heard this falls is quite impressive after a good rain.

Looks best when viewed large.

This is what happens when a photo addict has to wait for his family to return from the buffet and an iPhone to toy around in his hand.

Nothing but a little experiment, so don't take it too seriously. Shot using the great Hipstamatic app.

Bon appetit!

The tail is short on this one. With that long tail they look awkward when flying.
