A grayscale infrared image of a winding road through a dense forest. The road, lined with vegetation, including ferns and moss-covered trees, stretches into the distance. The image's monochromatic palette and the way the light interacts with the foliage create a serene and atmospheric scene. No people are visible.
Early in the morning I went on a forestpath and there where thousends of little frogs.
It was not easy to capture them because they jumping around and trying to escape.
So the only chance to shot them was using the flash without tripod.
Superior Hiking Trail, Minnesota - slightly north of Duluth.
A random hike. A closer look. Attempting to get the best out of my 50mm, "nifty 50"... its a challenge, as it is broken, but I make it work the best I can.
One of the key things that really makes the tropic atmosphere (i.e. aesthetic) is the preponderance of vines. Adds a different kind of texture to the trees.... tropical trees seem much smoother for some reason than more temperate area trees - oaks and maples and such - so, with the smooth bark, and the vines around it, creates a very different and interesting visual texture.
Kamakura as seen from the hiking path through the hills above the city.
Does this remind you of a European or American town? Why? Why not? What's distinctively Japanese here? Anything?
This is very old photomanipulation I found from the oldest computer we have (my parents' computer that is nowadays). I find this kind of psychedelic really, but I like it. I wish I had the same programs and could do more of these. I suppose that this was done with Microsoft Photo Editor and the picture was taken with my old HP camera back in 2006 or 2007 maybe. It was taken on the forest way near our house, that's what I'm sure about.
