A photographic journey through the lush landscapes of the Bergisches Land – from tranquil forest streams to wide reservoir views and delicate macro scenes. Light, texture, and mood define this visual narrative of a morning immersed in nature.

While walking through the woods I came across someone's "veteran" resting from a hard walk. He was walking, but his tongue was on the floor. Later I met people, it's possible that the dog was theirs.

At a crossroads, the world opens up. One path leads to the left, one path leads to the right. The options seem clear, but the choice is rarely easy. Left - perhaps the familiar? Right - perhaps the expected? I could go neither left nor right, but straight through, over the tree trunks and through the thicket that is not accessible by any path. Or I could stop, linger and simply let the paths be paths. The decision not to go is just as much a choice as any other. And there are even more options.

A picturesque autumn picture from Næstved's forests

The picture captures a moment of calm and beauty in one of Næstved's many forests. The sun's rays break through the canopy and create a warm, golden light that dances on the falling leaves. The tall beech trees stand like green walls on either side of a narrow, winding forest path. Some of the trees have already started to change color and their leaves are now in beautiful golden and red tones.

Details that set the mood:

The light: The soft, golden light creates a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The colours: The combination of the green foliage and the falling, colorful leaves gives the picture a beautiful depth.

The perspective: The path leads the eye into the picture and creates a feeling of being able to wander into the forest.

The details: The old, gnarled trees and the falling leaves add a sense of time and change.

This is a really good picture that manages to capture the essence of Næstved's forests and the beauty of autumn. It's a picture you could have hanging on the wall and dream away for a quiet walk in the woods.

After having captured this scene several times on b&w film, I wanted to see whether color film has any advantages with regard to controlling the shades of gray in post-processing.

A wonderful place to be this time of year. The vast number of white flowers goes on an on over a large forest floor. Almost looking like snow on the ground wherever you look.

No matter where your journey goes around this terrestrial sphere, the further you are from what you call ''home''

the closer still you are.

Like the snake changing skin it is with traveling - when you seek to find something elsewhere that is just to be found within.

The feeling and sense of meaning and ''home'' is no where out there but deep within, the magic of being eternally yours.

I hope you enjoy this dreamscape..
