so as you can see i don't really have anything poetic to say about this...used photoshop to combine all three images into one... i am not too keen on using the pen tool for a while now.
this was kind of fun to shoot, i did about 40 takes to get these ones
shot using my 50mm lens which i love

The Fantastickals are a troupe of non-speaking performers who portray various mythical creatures, including fairies, wood nymphs and other enchanted beings. These are some of the troupe members.
Typically, you see them individually around the grounds of the Bristol Renaissance Faire, near Kenosha, Wisconsin. They move and pose in a very stylized way, and interact intermittently in a non-speaking way with Fairegoers.
Here, they were making a rare appearance together near closing time on a recent day at the Faire. I grabbed this shot, even though the light was a bit difficult, and then I turned away to look at something else for a couple of moments. When I looked back, they were gone.

In the blue veil of the night
The shadows of the trees appear
Amidst the lantern light
We've been rambling all the night
And some time of this day
Now returning back again
We bring a garland gay

This is another of my favourite spots in the bush, a log covered in beautiful green moss. A perfect spot for a fairy to have a relax and take a break. Her butterfly friends followed her and had a rest of their own on the tree.

I love that the common name for these fungi is dryad's saddle.
I can just imagine the little tree-dwelling nymphs and forest spirits of Greek mythology using these as a comfy resting place from which to observe the forest all around.
This group was quite high up and photographed from ground level.
The largest fruiting body seen here, was around 30 cm diameter.

I am extremely excited for the new year! I wonder how people think about the new year. The date itself is arbitrary; it has no real meaning. Every new year, I enjoy reflecting on the past year. I do engage in the common practice of making new years resolutions. Mine is simple; it's not a piece of shit. Sounds aggressive. To me, this statement means not being lazy and to try to be a moral person.
As I've written before I enjoy periods of self-reflections. When I think about the last year, there are many things I did not expect to happen. A year ago, I did not foresee my knee surgery. I had no idea I would study and love Anthropology. Or even know the amazing people I would meet this year. Even re-connecting with old friends and learning to forgive others.
All I can hope for in the future is to keep moving forward with the opportunities given me. To continue and be proactive with my life.

Camera was up high in my house, pointing out the window while I rushed out into the rain to pose for this photo. It was awesome rain, I enjoyed standing in it, wasn't cold at all! I got my sister to press the shutter for me, while my brother stood there smirking and laughing me! I really need to move back out of my parents house, but I don't want to leave the forest behind! Argh!
My screen name is no longer rebo!nka. It was starting to annoy me.
Inspired by this awesome painting.
Indeed an honor to meet another fine-art photographer in the physical realm. A product of the transmutation of an online relationship which manifests into something real. I admired Liat work since I first viewed her photostream back into 2013. In fact, Liat work is one of the many Fine-art Flickr photographers who inspire me to create fine-art images when I began my journey.
I heard Liat stories about her connection to her images.Witnessing her relationship with her subjects (including myself). Acknowledging her different set of procedures. The best part though was just hanging out with her and Kendra.
Questioning my title? Whonnock is the name of the lake we explored. As for nymph, I like the concept of them.
Last weekend, I went on an epic adventure with Jessie Harbron to a few waterfalls in the Okanagan. Jessie's first time was going to waterfall in B.C, and she went down a waterfall waterslide. Yes, a waterfall waterslide.
I admire Jessie fearless as demonstrated by her abilities to gracefully balance with one leg on a rock pillar. Being fearless is an admirable characteristic in individuals. Indeed an aspect I love to photograph.

Madison Cook made the beautiful flower crown. We spent the day together hiking the mountains and then prancing around a meadow of wild daisies taking pictures.

I loved photographing Celeste and Jackson playing fetch. This image transports me through a time when I use to play with my dog, Nora. I have many fond memorie
"Skogsrået" The Forest Nymph is a female forest creature in Nordic folklore. In Sweden we call her "Råa".
Skogsrået is often described as a seductive and beautiful woman with long hair. In some parts of Sweden it is said that she has a hole in the back like a dead tree trunk, and in other areas it is said that she has a tail.
It is also said that the she has a strong liking for men and that she can seduce those she likes.
It is said that these men get good hunting luck, while those who reject her may experience misfortunes of various kinds.
The man who had sexual intercourse with her may become silent and speechless - his soul has stayed with her.
♗ A good advice: Stay away from "Råa" ♗
I give You a Song from The North - a traditional style of Sámi singing or chanting yoik!
“The worst grotesque situations: believing one knows oneself, believing one knows everything about some topic, believing one has judged with absolute impartiality, believing one will love and be loved forever. In conversation, people think one thing and, in trying to communicate it, say something else. The interlocutor hears one thing, but understands something different. When answering, one does not respond to what the other person initially thought, nor to what the other person said, but to what one has understood. The final result: a conversation between deaf people who do not even know how to listen to themselves.”

I'm obsessed with the wild flowers that grow throughout the Okanagan in the spring the Arrowleaf Basal.I swear this year the flowers have been blooming everywhere in large quantities of numbers. Maybe, I've always been busy with school around this time to pay attention to these flowers. This year I am glad to report I spent some real quality time in these field of flowers :)

I am thankful for my life!!!! Fortunate to live in a beautiful place. Every day, I state the obvious. The basic observation about my surrounding environment. Seeing the beauty in flowers on the side of the road, those kinds of-of thing always want to appreciate my surroundings. I always try to enjoy my environment every day. Too many beautiful things, people, and places. I never want to be desensitized to my environment. That's one reason why I try my best to be thankful!
can't think of a title so hello
I've been away working for the past 3 days working at a show, selling stuff, i really hated it. glad to be back home
it's been ages since i used anything other than my 50mm lens. i am kind of obsessed with it, anyway but I left my camera at work last wednesday when i took this, so i used my dads camera and kit lens and purposely set the zoom to 18mm to try and get a different kind of perspective but actually i can't really tell the difference

it's cold and windy today
not great weather for a silver wrap photo so this is just a re-edit of one that i liked from a while back
So I have uploaded a similar photo to this before, but I felt like doing some photoshopping so i dug up this oldie
It's late and I'm about to hop into my nice warm bed. but i've spent so long on the computer tonight that I'll probably dream about photoshopping butterflies and colour correcting. Seriously that really happens sometimes. Nerd alert
Today marks the four year anniversary since I began my conceptual photography journey. July 2012, I was staying at my Babcia house in Jaskowice. I walked to the Byczyna to use the internet at a local cafe. I uploaded some pictures of my trip in Poland onto Flickr. At the time I would upload all my Flickr photos to those Flickr groups with the comment codes. Those comment codes use to be extremely reinforcing for me.
Online, I found Mandy Rosen Photography. On her Facebook page, she made a post about the techniques she used to make composites. By acquiring her technique, I possessed the fundamental skills to attempt making surreal photographs.
Extremely excited I contacted my friend Karolina, she was also an amateur photographer. Together we looked online for levitation images to inspire our creation. The first conceptual picture we took was a levitation image. At the time, all my attention was focused on achieving the levitation. I did not care about the scenery. Not even paying attention to the details. I have learned a ton since this picture. I always want to be able to critique my photographs to become better.
When I came back to Canada, my lifestyle changed forever. I am fortunate to have been able to find photography. I finally found my creative outlet.
Thank you for following my work! All the love and kind message I receive on my photographs warms my heart :) Every comment makes me smile. I am happy to have this community of people to enjoy and hopefully connect with my images :) Thank you for the positive reinforcements <3

I am going to graduate with a bachelor degree next month!! To celebrate my success I decided to take psychedelics with my friend. We explored an abandoned ski hill near Kelowna. We scavenged for lost coins on the ski hill. We found nothing

If you've been following my work for awhile, you should know by now I am obsessed with flowers. It's funny. This is my first self-portrait in flowers. I have taken 30 photographs orientated around flowers.
I never thought about taking flower pictures of myself before. When it's easy to take self-portraits of myself in a beautiful field of flowers. The thought never crossed my mind.
The idea to take some self-portraits on top of a mountain in the middle of winter. Comes to my imagination before I think about setting my tripod in a field of flowers.

My morning series is finished!!!! I was highly motivated to finish this series when I realized winter is finally here. I have no idea why it took me so long to complete these photos. I am not sure what is wrong with me lol.
This is a photograph of my lovely friend Maria! We had so much fun shooting this series. We took these photo's in August around 5 AM in the morning. Basically all the expressions made in this series are genuine :)
More photos are in the comments.
I decided I like it better not cropped, so I replaced the square-cropped original with this one, and i decided to remove the vignette on the edges, i think I overprocess images sometimes i need to back off
I encourage you to View On Black

Well......I'm not entirely happy with the butterflies - but I've spent enough time on this - time to move on!
This is in the bush on my property - I always see it on the way up the driveway and stop and look. There's the shell of a dead tree and a new tree growing up in the middle, it's such a cool spot, filled with energy.
