Some of the back country roads in Kalamazoo County are so quiet and untravelled one could stop and do anything in the middle of the road. In this case, on the way home from one of our expeditions, I stopped and took pictures of the fall colors.

 

Canon A590 IS, taken through the windshield. Orton effect applied in Photoshop, and thanks to the forestlady for remembering this technique to me.
