45231 The Sherwood Forester on a the first day of a multi day rail tour en-route from Crewe to Carmarthen Sidings. The Sherwood Forester would lead the train from Crewe to LLandeilo with D8107 (20107) taking the train forward to Carmarthen Sidings.

Black Five 45231 Sherwood Forester crossing Bucknow Brook between Standish and Coppull as it headed from Crewe to Preston. At Preston it would take over the Lakelander excursion which was running late from Leicester. St. Katherine's church in Blackrod is on the hill above (and yes it is with a K).

Eastern Grey Kangaroos occupy most of the eastern third of Australia, especially along the coast in damp forest and scrub.They have increased in numbers since European settlement due to land clearing and pasture improvement, and the provision of watering points for stock.
