De Ford F100-Pickup heeft nog even wat expresgoederen afgeleverd bij het interurban station in Storystreet (!) in Boone (Iowa).
Interurban motorrijtuig 50 van de voormalige Charles City Western beschikt naast een reizigerscompartiment over een ruime bagage en stukgoederenafdeling.
Mc Guire-Cummings Company in Paris (Illinois) leverde deze motorwagen in 1915. Tot het eind van de reizigersdienst in 1952 bleef de motorwagen op de oorspronkelijke lijn in gebruik. Tot in 1968 werd de wagen nog wel eens gebruikt voor een excursie of fantrip. In dat jaar maakte een orkaan een einde aan het resterende goederenvervoer op de geëlectrificeerde interurbanlijn. De fraaie motorwagen die al zoveel jaren had overleefd werd gelukkig niet gesloopt maar opgeborgen in een schuur. In 1987 begon de restauratie. Sinds het afronden van de opknapbeurt rijdt de motorwagen op een ongeveer 2 kilometer lang deel van de Boone & Scenic Valley Railroad.

Langs een doorgaande weg in het zuiden van Oostenrijk stond een rij interessante Ford-modellen, op zo'n honderd meter van de lokale Ford-dealer Heregger/Ebenberger. Van de rest volgen meer foto's. Eerst deze vijfde generatie van de Ford F-Series, die tussen 1967 en 1972 werden geproduceerd. Dit exemplaar was niet in al te beste conditie zo op het eerste oog.

First this fifth generation of the Ford F-Series, which were produced between 1967 and 1972. This one was not in the best condition at first glance.

Launched in 1972 for the 1973 model year, the sixth generation Ford F Series Truck, retained a revised version of the chassis used in the previous generation For 1973, a new model was offered: The heavy duty F-350 V8. This was a new heavy-duty pickup made with contractors and camping enthusiasts in mind. It rode on a longer wheelbase than an F-100 or F-250 (140 in (3,556 mm) vs. 133 in (3,378 mm)) but had the same overall length.
The F150 was a heavy half ton truck, with a payload of 6050-6500 pounds other weights were the F100 half ton 4550-5700 lbs, F250 three quater ton 6200-8100lbs, F350 one ton 6000-10,000 lbs

The second generation of the Ford F series pick up trucks ran 1953-56 redesigned and renamed the former F1 becoming F100 half ton pick up.
US production of the second generation ended in 1956 to be replaced by the third generation but second generation continued to 1962 in the Ford plant at Sao Paulo, Brazil
This truck is registered with an oversize 6300cc engine.
On introduction in 1953 the F-100 was the last year for the flathead engine in the US. Models in Canada, however, (Mercury M-Series), retained the flathead. 1953-54 saw the introduction of the new 239 CID overhead valve Y-block V8, dubbed "Power King." The six-cylinder engine's displacement was also increased from 215 to 223 CID and power steering was introduced as an option. In 1954 the 239 Y-block was replaced with the 279 and 317.(5192cc)
