HERAT, Afghanistan--Spanish Air Force Tactical Air Controllers assist an Italian CH-47 Chinook Helicopter as it lands at Bala Murghab Forward Operating Base during an International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) mission, Sept. 27, 2008. ISAF is assisting the Afghan government in extending and exercising its authority and influence across the country, creating the conditions for stabilization and reconstruction.

Ellie and Martha were brilliant at doing the jumps for this.
We did this at the end of the day and the girls still brought remarkable energy to the shoot

Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) ZK-GBQ Schleicher Ka 4 Rhönlerche II c/n 392/58.
ZK-GBQ was listed to the Tauranga Gliding Club on 18 April 1958 and first flew on 11 May 1958. The Waipukurau Gliding Club listed it from 10 May 1968. The Hastings Division of the Air Force Association purchased it for No11 Squadron Air Training Corp of Hastings from 4 December of 1975. It was cancelled as withdrawn on 1 May 1991 but was very nicely restored to static display standard for the RNZAF 50th Anniversary.
A fab walk to this fall in some very changeable weather, but this worked in our favour to reduce the crowds and increase the rainbow at the base of the fall.
The river Kent as it flows through a lime stone gorge under Force Lane Bridge, Just south of Kendal, Cumbria. The river source is Kentmere in the Lake District and is one of the fastest rivers in the Uk. This is a particularly fast stretch popular with Kayakers with a number of waterfalls and rapids in short succession.

participated in the exercise.

The first presidential jet plane, a specially built Boeing 707-120, is known as SAM (Special Air Missions) 970. This aircraft, as well as any other Air Force aircraft, carried the call sign "Air Force One" when the president was aboard. Delivered in 1959 to replace Eisenhower's Super-Constellation, the high-speed jet transport is a flying Oval Office with a modified interior and sophisticated communication equipment.
Jet technology gave a president the opportunity to meet face-to-face with world leaders easily. SAM 970 has carried presidents Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, and Nixon as well as VIPs such as Nikita Khrushchev and Henry Kissinger.
By 1962, SAM 970 was replaced by a newer Boeing VC-137C. But SAM 970 remained in the presidential fleet ferrying VIPs and the Vice-President until June of 1996.

Moss Force is approximately 100 metres (328 ft) high, standing on Moss Beck which flows off Robinson. The Beck rises at a height of 540 metres, flowing across a boggy area known as Buttermere Moss before plunging down from a height of 420 metres in three distinct sections. The top section, which is also the highest cascade, is split by an outcrop of rock and falls into a small pool surrounded by a few Rowan trees, then continues downwards through two smaller cascades. The middle cascade (this shot) falls into a larger pool and thebottom cascade is smallest of the three, after which the Beck enters a small wooded gorge containing further smaller falls. The Beck then levels out in the bottom of the Newlands Valley as it is joined by High Hole Beck and becomes Keskadale Beck.
Moss Force is a grade III Winter Ice Climb.
