There was another nice spot a little towards the sun, the footsteps in the sand are a clear indication that I couldn't decide which I liked better!
A sunny afternoon while i was hiking at Mt.Pelion and i realize that i wasn't alone in that path...

The young juveniles were following their mother after a heavy meal to find a shady place to rest. There were no trees around in this part of the savannah. In the end...they crawled under a drain way.
Taken in National Reserve, Masai Mara, Kenya.
Many thanks for your visit, comments, invites and faves...it is always appreciated.

You think you own whatever land you land on
The Earth is just a dead thing you can claim
But I know every rock and tree and creature
Has a life, has a spirit, has a name
You think the only people who are people
Are the people who look and think like you
But if you walk the footsteps of a stranger
You'll learn things you never knew you never knew
Have you ever heard the wolf cry to the blue corn moon
Or asked the grinning bobcat why he grinned?
Can you sing with all the voices of the mountains?
Can you paint with all the colors of the wind?
Can you paint with all the colors of the wind?
Come run the hidden pine trails of the forest
Come taste the sunsweet berries of the Earth
Come roll in all the riches all around you
And for once, never wonder what they're worth
The rainstorm and the river are my brothers
The heron and the otter are my friends
And we are all connected to each other
In a circle, in a hoop that never ends
Have you ever heard the wolf cry to the blue corn moon
Or let the eagle tells you where he is been?
Can you sing with all the voices of the mountains?
Can you paint with all the colors of the wind?
Can you paint with all the colors of the wind?
How high will the sycamore grow?
If you cut it down, then you'll never know
And you'll never hear the wolf cry to the blue corn moon
For whether we are white or copper skinned
We need to sing with all the voices of the mountains
We need to paint with all the colors of the wind
You can own the Earth and still
All you'll own is Earth until
You can paint with all the colors of the wind

(...) But if you tame me, my life will be as enlightened. I know the sound of footsteps that will be different from everyone else. Other steps send me hurrying underground. Your instead will call me out of my burrow like music.(...)
Le Petit Prince Antoine de Saint- Exupéry.
This forest is located in the middle of the National Park of Casentino Forests Arezzo (Tuscany).
It is famous because it was a forest full of bandits who robbed the travelers.
It was given to San Francesco by Count Orlando of Chiusi della Verna.
San Francesco built a famous sanctuary, today a place of pilgrimage.
It seems that in this place the saint received the stigmata and converted many bandits in the woods...

Two step, behind the rest
One fingertip too long
A hole, a hole in the box they carry
Pours sugar in the road
Throwing muses - Two step
tracing footsteps
looking at the past
where did we go
what did we want
just look beside you

Pretty cool to have the only footsteps on the beach that morning, except for those of a shorebird to the right of mine.
Humboldt County, California
Taken at the Japanese section at the Forest Glade Gardens at Mt Macedon. The whole place is beautiful even in the middle of winter. Even more so when shared with the FFF+ gang.

Footsteps in the snow...
They mark our past.
They mark our future.
They mark our one and only direction. Forward.
IMG_6565: Hello again! I'm back from my holiday travels and working to get caught up. Here is a shot I took after having a hike down to the lake and back. The snow was waist-deep in some places, and I found tracks from deer and bunnies and some other paw'ed creature that I didn't recognize.
