We held a meeting with the FPOs of Punjab to review their contribution in food preservation and processing. We also took inputs from them on how the rural masses/ farmers are benefitted by these FPOs. We also had in-depth discussion about the future plans of these FPOs.

Jain Irrigation Systems is setting up a Food Park in Andhra Pradesh with an investment of Rs 365 crores. Andhra Pradesh government has allotted over 623 acres of land in December 2015 for setting up an integrated agriculture and horticulture park in Kurnool district of the state. The project would create regular employment of 400 persons and seasonal employment for another 1000 persons.
