Forgot I'd not uploaded this one. I do a huge amount of work on pure white backgrounds, so its nice sometimes to break away and play with black, and even nicer to add some water and reflections.

This is maybe the best known winter dish in Germany "Grünkohl mit Pinkel" (Green Cabbage with different kind of smoked sausages and bacon). Always served with beer AND for a very good reason with a Schnaps (Doppelkorn) on the side. If you don't know this dish and you have the chance to get it once, don't miss to order the Schnaps (your stomach will be so thankful).

My 1st photo for this month SLW challenge. I must admit that I'm not that happy with this try. I like the setting though. I do not like the lighting that much with the back a bit too over exposed and the front seems a bit under exposed. In other words: I wished it brighther
The recipe asked originally for cutting up the herring and mixing it in with the salad. I like it better this way - deconstructed :)
Aspargus with smoked cod, poached egg, watercress and hollandaise sauce.
This was dinner so not a full on commercial shoot. But yummy, just didn't want it to get cold while I got all the pics I needed.
Pickles are South Indian specialties, it is prepared with a choice of Mangoes, Tomatoes or Lemon pieces.

Not only salmon can be pickled that way. Here a version of gravad red mullet with lemon, red berries and basil in the mixture of salt, sugar and some oil.
