Place Jean Delay 03/05/2023 09h35
I took my 52-Weeks self portrait on this location the morning I took this picture:

Place Jean-Delay
Place Jean-Delay is a square in the 13ème arrondissement of Paris in the quartier Maison-Blanche. The neigbhourhood is also named Quartier des Peupliers.
This square took the name of the psychiatrist and writer Jean Delay (1907-1987).
The fountain Wallace was placed here in the end of 2011.
Wallace fountains are public drinking fountains designed by Charles-Auguste Lebourg that appear in the form of small cast-iron sculptures scattered throughout the city of Paris, France, mainly along the most-frequented sidewalks. They are named after the Englishman Richard Wallace, who financed their construction. A great aesthetic success, they are recognized worldwide as one of the symbols of Paris. A Wallace Fountain can be seen outside the Wallace Collection in London, the gallery that houses the works of art collected by Sir Richard Wallace and the first four Marquesses of Hertford.

Wallace Fountain - Boulevard Richard Lenoir - Paris - 11th arrondissement. The four caryatids represent kindness, simplicity, charity and sobriety. These many fountains of free potable water were a gift to the people of Paris from Sir Richard Wallace after the Franco-Prussian War ravaged much of the city.

This one is located on the Ile de la Cité on the flower market, presently full of Xmas trees and decorations for sale.

I'm not actually sure of the name of this fountain. (Water is at the ground level, unseen on the picture.) My best guess so far is the Wallace Fountain. It is located at the corner of St-Paul and St-Pierre streets in lower Québec City. If anyone has more information, please help me out!
The fountain is interesting because of the way the cobblestone street becomes wavy and merges with the fountain, without any borders or separation. The statue pictured, standing above it, represents abundance.
Cropped.

“Big Capital would die if, every morning, we did not grease the cogs of its machines with man’s oil.”

Sir Richard Wallace was an Englishman. During the terrible 1870 war, instead of taking refuge in his country, he stayed in Paris to help the Parisians thanks to his inheritance (he was the illegitimate child of a rich man). He did help a lot. Plus, after the war, in 1872, to avoid that whoever can again be lacking of drinking water in Paris, Sir Richard offered 50 fountains to the city (made by Charles-Auguste Lebourg).
More than 100+ now, they are 2,71 meters and give permanently a thin trickle of drinking water, useful for the homeless people and for the tourists.
This one is ironically situated in Montmartre. Ironic because the Sacré-Cœur, Montmartre iconic church, was exactly built to celebrate the bloody repression of the Parisian people during the Commune, in 1871.

Water fountain for public use in Toulouse (France), known as 'Fontaine Wallace', this design of four women holding a domed top is not rare. I have seen the similar design in Paris.
This one is situated on 'La place St-George', in Toulouse.
