Cuenca, Castilla La Mancha
El edificio más emblemático y más conocido de la ciudad de Cuenca es el de las Casas Colgadas.
No se sabe con exactitud su origen que, para unos, es musulmán, mientras que, para otros, es de origen medieval (s. XIV-XV). Pudo ser una antigua casa solariega en virtud del escudo del canónigo Gonzalo González de Cañamares encontrado en su interior.
El mito, la magia y la leyenda las elevó a la categoría de monumento. En la actualidad son tres casas restauradas en el siglo XX. En dos de ellas está ubicado El Museo de Arte Abstracto Español (Casas del Rey) y en la otra un mesón típico (Casa de la Sirena).

The most emblematic and best known building of the city of Cuenca is Hanging Houses.
We do not know its exact origin, for some, is Muslim, while for others it is medieval (s. XIV-XV). It could be an old manor, a shield of canon Gonzalo González de Cañamares was found inside.
The myth, magic and the legend rose to the rank of monument. At present there are three houses restored in the twentieth century. In two of them is located the Museum of Spanish Abstract Art (Casas del Rey) and in the other a typical inn (House of the Mermaid).

(千と千尋の神隠し
La città incantata (千と千尋の神隠し Sen to Chihiro no kamikakushi?, lett. "La sparizione causata dai kami di Sen e Chihiro") è un film d'animazione giapponese del 2001 scritto e diretto da Hayao Miyazaki, prodotto dallo Studio Ghibli e distribuito dalla Buena Vista. Il film, liberamente ispirato al romanzo fantastico Il meraviglioso paese oltre la nebbia della scrittrice Kashiwaba Sachiko, narra le avventure di Chihiro, una bambina di dieci anni che si introduce senza rendersene conto, insieme ai genitori, in una città incantata abitata da spiriti. Qui i genitori della bambina vengono trasformati in maiali dalla potente maga Yubaba e la piccola protagonista decide di rimanere nel regno fatato per tentare di liberarli.
Trattandosi di un film di animazione ho rielaborato lo skyline di una delle città che più amo ...

Artisti di strada presso Apritiborgo - Campiglia Marittima (Livorno). --- Apritiborgo è un festival, che si svolge ogni anno ad Agosto, ricco di idee e di suggestioni, che accosta senza pudore il colto al popolare, la pancia e la mente, il dramma e il comico in un sovrapporsi continuo tra incantevoli squarci urbani, tra pietre che rimandano agli echi del secolare lavoro in miniera e riescono pure loro a raccontare storie, un festival così concepito come Apritiborgo/ABC Festival non è semplicemente una kermesse di spettacoli, ma la proposta di una prospettiva diversa, di un modo differente di osservare ciò che ci sta intorno, di un pensiero laterale che ci fa scoprire il davanti e il dietro delle cose e del mondo. E' un cambio di prospettiva sul modo di vivere una città, è una dichiarazione d'amore verso la socialità, verso la riappropriazione dei rapporti umani, del linguaggio diretto e corporeo, del confronto verbale, è affermare che l'apparire non è l'essere e le persone in carne ed ossa poco hanno a che fare con la realtà virtuale. È una follia odiare tutte le rose perché una spina ti ha punto, abbandonare tutti i sogni perché uno di loro non si è realizzato, rinunciare a tutti i tentativi perché uno è fallito.

Dopo l'atterraggio la sera precedente all'aeroporto di Lappeenranta, nel sud del paese, guidai quasi tutta la notte per percorrere i 500 km che mi separavano dalla linea Oulu - Kontiomäki - Vartius, alla quale giunsi poco prima delle 8 con non poche difficoltà per tenermi sveglio alla guida.
Verificati e subito cancellati dalla lista un paio di punti foto risultati non soddisfacenti, trovai al terzo tentativo questo spot nei pressi di un passaggio a livello nel tratto di linea tra Melalahti e Kivesjärvi, dove la follia notturna fu ripagata con il transito del primo treno di vuoti della giornata per il trasporto di minerale ferroso (T 5254 Oulu Nokela - Vartius), di rientro in Russia verso le cave di Kostomukša.

After a couple of unsatisfactory photo points having been checked and immediately deleted from the list, on the third attempt I found this spot near a level crossing in the stretch of line between Melalahti and Kivesjärvi, where the nocturnal madness was rewarded with the passage of the first train of empties of the day for the transport of iron ore pellets (T 5254 Oulu Nokela - Vartius), returning to Russia to the quarries of Kostomuksha.

Broadway Tower è un "capriccio architettonico" a Broadway Hill, vicino al grande villaggio di Broadway, nella contea inglese del Worcestershire, al secondo punto più alto del Cotswolds. La base della Broadway Tower è a 312 metri sul livello del mare. La torre stessa è alta 20 metri. Da qua è possibile godere di incredibili vedute di questa parte fantastica della campagna britannica.
Broadway Tower is a folly on Broadway Hill, near the large village of Broadway, in the English county of Worcestershire, at the second-highest point of the Cotswolds. Broadway Tower's base is 312 metres above sea level. The tower itself stands 20 metres high. From there it is possible to see incredible views of this fantastic English countryside.
